'An epitome of failure and embarrassment,' hummed the king through my shields which I had forgotten to close after losing my temper at him. 'More like the epitome of a kind heart and good soul. But you are too guileless for you do anyone a good deed, even if it were a thief.'
'Everyone deserves a tad bit of kindness, milord,' I said, giving him back my loan to him that would keep me under his surveillance. I had my doubts about not being able to return to my world if he held onto it.
I watched the people haul the horse back on its weak feet and take it away before continuing, 'A small act of kindness can bring a change to that person's world, if not the whole. Besides, since when did you have such kind words for anyone?'
'You shall really never know how the world works and what it contains for your heart is certainly not fit for it.'
