My mind had surely been awake and aware of my surroundings the whole time. I was certain of it until the headache came out of nowhere and then, suddenly, in front of me, was a mass of flowing black liquid. It was then that the doubt of me being stuck in a hallucination struck me.
My knees hit the ground as I clutched my head, letting the pain take over me. At first, not one sound escaped my lips since it was only a throb. But when it started to pound so hard that I felt my head reaching the point where it would explode, I let out a small shriek. A scream followed it when the pain walked all over my heart.
There was not one sound I could hear except the gush of the waves that sounded like the sea. I tried to focus my attention on that to forget the agony I was being faced with. It was only with some time that the memory or the vision formed clearly on my tightly closed eyelids.
