'His hearing ability gave you away,' remarked the voice and then tsked at my carelessness when I had been very quiet so that not even the wind would let me get caught.
'You always seem to have something to say every time,' I scolded it. 'Doesn't it hurt you to talk so much and necessarily too?'
"You had better hurry along before I drag you out myself, Ms Dixon. Else I shall be creating an ultimatum that shall be impossible to break."
"I'm coming, sir," I responded in a dull voice and came out of my hiding place in the dusty cupboard.
I coughed at the dust that had sifted out along with me and let out a small sneeze. Then I looked at Aidan, whose face held the utmost disappointment. I only returned a doleful look at him, signalling him with my eyes that it totally wasn't my fault for the situation we were in. With the counsellor being a vampire, there was no way I couldn't get caught with his stronger senses.
