"How mean you are to your brother," he said nonchalantly as he watched me slowly chew and swallow the food. "I was not expecting this from you, Lesty dear."
"I am truly sorry to ruin your high expectations," I retorted, irked by his behaviour. "But I am a hundred per cent sure that you can deal with this unprecedented circumstance, Sire Lucas. You have dealt with different kinds of people in your long life, so this should be easy enough, right?"
I caught the hand that flew towards my mouth to stop it from talking. I pushed the hand to the table and glared at him for trying to shut me off when he felt irked. Either he ran out of smart remarks or he was better off conserving his energy by not picking on me.
"Seems like you gained some strength," he said with a chuckle. "I don't have to feed you like a baby anymore."
