Chapter 1 - The Creator's Joke

Blood Roar City.

In a dilapidated wooden hut.

An orc who looked like a human slowly sat up, from the bed.

"Where am I?"

Mitchell looked around at the unfamiliar surroundings and couldn't help but murmur.

Then, he felt a sudden pain in his head as if his brain had been pierced.

A large amount of memories kept flooding into Mitchell's mind.

It took a full ten minutes for Mitchell to sort through this memory.

So, he had transmigrated.

This was the Orc tribe's Blood Roar City.

As for himself, he was the eldest son of the Blood Roar City Lord Xeno, Blood Roar—Mitchell Blood Roar.

Although he was the city lord's son, Mitchell was not happy at all.

Because his memory showed that he had never been valued by Xeno since he was young.

Just because he was a hybrid born from the rape of a human woman by Xeno.

Mitchell, who had the mixed blood of an orc and a human, was highly regarded before he was born.

Even Xeno took this unborn child very seriously.

Orcs, with their thick skin and powerful strength, were the most powerful warriors.

Humans, on the other hand, had the gift of affinity with the elements and were good at using all kinds of magic.

If this child could inherit both the excellent bloodlines of the orcs and humans, he might become the first orc warrior in the history of the orcs to use magic.

This would elevate Xeno's position to unprecedented heights.

However, after Mitchell was born, all the beautiful illusions vanished.

On the day Mitchell was born, his mother died due to the difficult birth.

But Xeno didn't even look at the human woman. He simply picked up the child eagerly.

Then, he was disappointed.

This child neither had the strong physique of an orc nor the affinity and talent of a human.

To put it bluntly, he had failed to inherit the merits of both races. He was only left with only the flaws of his races.

Apart from his human good looks, Mitchell was an out-and-out garbage half-orc.

He couldn't even match up to ordinary orcs.

This was as if the Creator had made a bad joke with Xeno.

The more Xeno looked at this son, the more he disliked him. In the end, he simply ignored him completely.

After sorting out his background, Mitchell frowned slightly.

In his previous life on Earth, he was already unhappy. He did not expect that he would end up in such a miserable state after transmigration.

While he was in a daze, he suddenly heard a conversation outside the door.

"Your Majesty, this is the Third Prince's house. Aren't you going to take a look?"

"Humph, what is there to see about that trash? Let him fend for himself."

The memory in his mind and this conversation sent a message to Mitchell.

The person outside was his father—Xeno Blood Roar.

Before Mitchell could react, the conversation started again.

"But today is an important day for the princes. Isn't it inappropriate not to bring the Third Prince along?"

"There's no need for that. Trash is trash. Bringing him over would be a disgrace."

"And don't ever mention the half-orc in front of me again. I don't have a useless son like him."

With that said, footsteps sounded outside the door again. Xeno seemed to have left.

Mitchell looked calmly at the closed wooden door. Nothing stirred inside him.

After all, his memories clearly showed that he had not been valued by his father for half his life. He was already used to it.

Knock, knock, knock.

There was a soft knock on the door.

Mitchell looked up and gradually. "Please come in."

Although Mitchell spoke the Orc language, he seemed to be born with it.

This was his body's instinct, as well as the convenience brought by the fusion of memories.

The wooden door was slowly pushed open with a creaking sound.

A man who looked aged, walked in and bowed.

"Greetings, Third Prince."

Mitchell nodded slightly.

Mitchell recognized this old orc too.

He was Xeno's old housekeeper, Chester.

Unlike other orcs, Chester had a gentle personality.

Seeing that Mitchell and his mother had been neglected by Lord Xeno, Chester had been secretly helping them.

Chester was also the one who initiated the conversation.

His thoughts were simple. He just wanted his master, Xeno, not to forget that he had such a son.

However, his suggestion was useless.

Xeno, as usual, paid no attention to Mitchell.

"Third Prince, those words earlier," Chester hesitantly said with a worried expression.

Mitchell nodded slowly. "I heard everything," he said calmly.

Chester was taken aback by Mitchell's reaction.

Why did the Third Prince seem different from usual?

If it was the Third Prince in the past, he would probably be sighing and even crying by now.

Why did the prince… seem to be overly calm today?

Thinking of this, Chester was shocked.

Could it be that this incident was too big of a blow to the Third Prince, so…

Chester looked carefully at Mitchell, who seemed calm. The more he thought about it, the more he felt that this was the situation.

Today was the day the city lord's sons displayed their strength to all the residents of Blood Roar City so they could win the hearts of the people.

Even if Mitchell had almost no chance of getting first place, he was at least qualified to participate.

But now, Xeno wasn't even giving Mitchell a chance to participate.

Hence, it was understandable for him to be agitated upon hearing such news.

Thinking of this, Chester sighed again and said softly,

"Third Prince, if you need anything from this old servant, just say it."

"Your old servant shall take his leave now…"

At this moment, it was better to leave the Third Prince alone.

Thinking of this, Chester shook his head and sighed as he left the wooden house and closed the door.

With a jarring creak, Mitchell was left alone in the house again.

He slowly shifted his gaze to look around in the small hut that was covered in cobwebs and broken furniture.

After being neglected by Xeno, the trash from his previous self had lived in despair in this hut until now.

The room was barely cleaned and there were even some food scraps left on the floor.

A group of ants were passing by in an orderly manner and were moving the food bit by bit.

Mitchell sneered at the sight.

"If it was the trash from the previous life, he would probably be crying and lamenting 'how great it would be if I could become an ant'."

The next second, an emotionless electronic voice sounded in Mitchell's mind.

[Host's wish has been detected. Binding system now.]

[System binding successful]

[Congratulations to the host for successfully binding the God-Level Fusion System]

Mitchell was a little startled, then he smiled.

"The golden finger is finally here."
