Chapter 9 - ACE

Classes had already started by the time I got to school. I groaned out loud. Matteo was going to pay. I grabbed my bag and walked into the building. I had English first. God. I hated it. I walked to the English class. Mr. Smith was already talking when I pushed open the door and walked in. the entire class stopped and turned to face me.

"Mr. Valentino…" he started to say but I cut him off. I wasn't in the mood for his stupid lecture.

"not in the mood" I replied him before turning to head to my seat. Then I saw her, Sofia Carter. She was seated where I usually seat for this class assuming I show up. I never knew, she was a junior. She drives me crazy and she reminds me so much about her. I quickly took the seat beside her and stared at her. She was pretty with her blonde hair and green eyes. She was something else.

"I didn't know you were coming here" I whispered to her just to make conversation.

"um…my dad owns the school" she stated. I chuckled and faced the teacher. The class was over but before I could talk to Sofia, she went running out of the class. I followed swiftly and almost bumped into Troy. God help me. He could be nosy and annoying sometimes.

"Ace where've you been?" he asked. I rolled my eyes.

"something came up" he rolled his eyes at me and took Sofia's hand and led her down the hallway. I was annoyed. Why would he hold her hand? I glared at them before stomping away. I walked to my next class and guess what Sofia was in the class too. I couldn't take my eyes off her, she's the prettiest girl and I don't think she knows.

I needed to think and clear my mind. I don't know when I started thinking like that. I had to smoke. Once the class was done, I walked to the back of the school and took out my cigarette, lit it and puffed. Smoking is bad and if my mum should see me now, she'll take me over her knees and beat the shit out of me. I took in the smoke and puffed slowly. It had a way of calming my nerves. I threw it down once I was done and headed to the cafeteria because I needed food. I bumped into someone. Jose Davila. The devil himself.

"Ace, how're you doing men?" I ignored him and walked past him to the cafeteria but he pulled me back by the hem of my shirt.

"I'm talking to you Valentino"

"I don't feel like talking Davila" I replied.

"you haven't gotten over the whore, have you?" my eyes went dark. He didn't just call her a whore. Jose and I had history. An unpleasant one that settled around murder. I punched him in the face, making him stumble and push open the cafeteria doors. He stood up and attempted to punch me but I dodged and punched him in the stomach. The fight really started. He could barely throw punches and I took good advantage of that. If felt myself being pulled off and I knew it was Theodore. I needed to give one more hit but he won't let me. He dragged me to the executive room as we call it and dumped me on a chair. It was then I saw Sofia and suddenly felt sorry.

"I don't need those" I growled at Zoe as she attempted to clean my wounds.

"shut it Valentino, you get yourself in a mess and we are the ones that clean it up" she retorted. Zoe was never mad and I knew she was right. I always got into trouble and they cleaned my mess. It was only the twins and Edward that knew about my gang. I looked at Sofia, she felt so out of place and innocent and one thing SI didn't want was to drag her into my mess of a life.

"why freaking Davila Ace?" Theo suddenly yelled. I flinched.

"he insulted her "the entire room froze. They knew it was a sour topic for me. The bell for the next class rung but we didn't bother going.

"Sofia, go to class" Theo said to Sofia. She looked confused and annoyed.

"what? But…"

"now" he growled. she grabbed her bag and fled the room. I felt bad for her and it was my fault.

"what did he say?" Gio asked in a low voice.

I sighed "he called her a whore" nobody spoke.

"you can't keep attacking him, he's an idiot" Rihanna chided.

"and Lincoln can't keep, cleaning your mess for you, he's got more important things now like Sofia, if you keep getting into fights you are no longer welcome here" Theo threatened. I nodded at him knowing fully well he was right and the matter was settled.
