SOFIA
The soft glow of the sun rays on my face made me stir in my sleep. I turned my face and buried it in my pillow to avoid waking up but it was no use. I was already awake and I couldn't sleep back.
Rolling out of the bed, I stood at the middle of the room and examined its content. It was a large one with a king sized bed, opposite this was a plasma tv with a desk underneath it. There were two doors, one that led to the closet and the other to the bathroom. There was a large bay window that provided a great view of the city from the top. It was beautiful. I made my way to my bathroom and stripped my clothing. Rubbing my hair first with the lavender shampoo, I rinsed it out and then washed my body. I stared at the mirror once I was done, average height with long blonde hair and blue eyes that I got from my dad. I tied my towel around my torso and another smaller one around my head. I decided on black hoodie over jeans with my Nike air force.
I combed my long hair, and tied it into a ponytail. I stepped out into the long hallway, there were many rooms and even stairs that led to a third floor. I walked to the stairs and being the lazy person I am, too lazy to walk down the winding stairs; I decided to slide down the railing. Seating myself carefully, I started my slow descent. I started to gain speed and I went faster. I was too fast to stop myself and I chose to jump off the edge once I got there but what ii didn't expect was to see someone leaning on the edge of the railing using his phone.
He looked up, too shocked to even react and we collided.
I fell on him and we both went down to the ground with a thud. He groaned and I winced as we made contact with the floor. My hand was on his chest and is stared into his hazel eyes, they were dull and uncertain. My eyes trailed his face, he had dark hair, a pointed note and a fixed jaw with plump pink lips. I gulped. I didn't even know who he was.
"what the fudge?" I heard Alessandro yelling quickly stoop up and stood awkwardly aside. The boy was too dazed to stand up.
"what the hell Ace Valentino?" he yelled again. Alessandro was pissed, no doubt about that. Ace looked between both of us. "I told you to stay away"
"SHUT IT ALESSANDRO, ITS EARLY" Vincent yelled so loud that I flinched. He froze when he descended the stairs and saw the scene before him. He looked between us and Alex(Alessandro).
"what's he doing here?" the party just got bigger as Theo, Gio and another boy whom I did not know came down the stairs. He was tall with red hair and dark eyes and shirtless. God. His abs were huge.
"I told you not to bring him here" that was harsh. Didn't Alex realize the person he was talking to was on the floor? And you know why" no body spoke. Theo sighed and looked at me, as if speaking silently. He hesitating to speak and there was awkward silence. Ace finally stood up and Alessandro gave him a deadly glare as if daring him to try any stupid thing. As if on cue my stomach growled. I went bright pink and quickly excused myself to go to the kitchen. Once I left the argument started again. I rolled my eyes, they could have just told me 'bitch, you're not wanted, please leave".
The kitchen was big, with large wooden cupboards and marble tabletops. There was an island in the middle with 10 bar stools. I searched the cabinet for some cereal, after finding some, I got some milk and made myself a bowl of cereal. I sat at the island and began to gulp it down. The others slowly trickled into the kitchen with Ace taking the rear. His hazel eyes were darker than usual and now had a mysterious aura around him.
"you're coming with us, Sofia" Alex said to which I raised an eyebrow. "we're going shopping for school" I muttered profanities because, news flash: I hate shopping.
"I need to shop too" I heard Ace mutter. Alessandro turned to him with an unimpressed look. I think Ace just spoke to get on my uncle's nerves and it worked because he warned him not to set foot near the mall for the next one week. The others were trying not to laugh but Gio was very bad at doing that.
Vincent made pancakes for the others while I finished off my cereal. I could feel a gaze burning the back of my head and I didn't need prophet to tell me it was freaking ACE VALENTINO. I gulped and quickly went back upstairs but my mind was wandering. What was so dangerous about him? He looked kind and innocent enough but I knew there was something beneath the surface that they were not telling me. Something wrong that could put people in danger. I was curious and when I'm curious, I can be adventurous. In this case curiosity may not kill the cat.
I grabbed my phone and bag before skipping down the stairs. I did not dare slide down the railing again. I knew I was sure to get a telling off. Ace was gone and so was Drake. Alessandro sat on the island using his phone. I took a seat and we waited in silence for the twins and Vince. They finally came bounding down the stairs dressed in similar attires, grey hoodies over black jeans and black vans. Theo had on a beanie.
We all headed out to the garage, then an argument about cars erupted until Alessandro silenced them and we entered his Audi. I was almost hyperventilating with excitement but I managed to calm down. Alex started the car and we drove off. My actual first day in New York.
