Chapter 11 - Future Goals

"Sigh if only we had someone who was a part of ouroboros this would have been more simple" Adam sighed, this was the major problem they faced how would ouroboros approach them, for the other two they had people even within the family who held position and had many contacts, but within the ouroboros group their weren't as fortunate, this was due to nature of ouroboros itself the members received the least benefits out of three organizations as they didn't hold much power within the government, they prioritized combat power over everything else leading them to either serve in the military or search the unexplored areas of the new universe for ways to improve their powers battles that may lead to improvement in combat prowess.

With a genius such as Lucius up for grabs, middle management members were sure to be the ones to be sent to deal with the recruitment process, middle management within these organizations were individuals close to the level of a demigod, just one step away from the development of their traits to hold the necessary law powers. This in itself was a problem, with ouroboros members being so warlike they could only hope no problems would occur when the time came. "Should we even make Lucius results public, wouldn't it save some troubles" Lilith asked, obviously not willing to let her little boy suffer in any way. "It's not that simple, with Lucius talents even if we want to keep it hidden it would be impossible, this was why I suggested the academy as well, they will act as shield when the time comes protecting Lucius in ways we can't" Adam said.

The choosing of an organization occurs at the time one becomes a breaker, everyone in the civilization had to make this choice this wasn't up for debate this was due to the fact that for someone to continue on the path to become a breaker was dependent on an organization whether you advance in rank within the organization was up to your dedication but becoming a member was necessary , until then no matter how talented you may be you don't have any power to make any of the three organizations garner interest in you. What Gregory and Adam were discussing was the eventual future, as their King family were sure to be caught up within a storm when Lucius unique trait and law affinity is discovered. "Gregory I'll leave the management of the family to you I'll stay here and take of Lucius and educate him while also keeping him safe, don't fight me on this, although you have some power this isn't about pride anymore as a father but doing what's right for Lucius" Adam said. Staying silent a while he also nodded as if coming to a decision, "I'll also try to let him reach the realm of intermediate tester before he leaves, as at that point he'll able to protect himself in Mustique, with the talent he's shown so far I'm sure it's possible" Adam continued. Gregory knew what his father said was right but that didn't make him feel any better, as a father it pains him he can't protect his son himself and take some of the burdens off his shoulders. Yet when he heard his father second declaration, he was in disbelief, becoming a tester wasn't as easy as Adam made it sound, becoming a tester meant having ones mental strength reach a certain threshold at that point they would be able to, gain telekinetic abilities that improves with the grade.

A tester was split between four levels, Beginner, Intermediate, advance and peak tester. It was normal for someone to become a beginner tester at age 24, someone could be considered a genius if they became a tester at 18, as people apart of the Verger race they had longer lifespans than the old mortals from Lucius former universe, with a mortal if he remains healthy he would be able to live up to the age 140. So even at 16 someone could still be considered young and still a child. So for Adam to say he'll make Lucius an intermediate tester before he leave it sounded impossible within his mind considering the youngest age Lucius would be able to go to the academy is at age 10. Looking at the determination on his father face Gregory didn't say anything more and could only sigh at this point. Lucius on the other hand didn't show any worry listening to the conversation around he didn't show any change in expression, as a three month year old baby no matter how smart one was, something would obviously be wrong if he talked at this age so he simply kept quiet. Knowing the expectations placed on him, he didn't worry as said before his belief in himself wasn't something someone could fathom. Although he didn't know hard the system was to cultivate up to the intermediate tester, he believed it was possible for him to accomplish the goal Adam set for him.
