——-Down a dark hall made of stone the mysterious man walked briskly holding a torch to light his way. Passing through each corridor as silent as a mouse, attempting not to interrupt anyone's slumber, he made his way back to his chambers.
The man grabbed his head shaking it back and forth, " that was terrible, after all this time waiting how could I mess this up so soon." He said to no one but himself.
It was all to much to handle, I feel as if I'm in the twilight zone. My parents and the Andersons keep going back and forth with their discussion about this place they call Calstonia. I've never been that good in geography but I'm pretty sure I've never heard of this place. Leo hasn't said much either on the subject even though I've asked him multiple times. I've even resorted to texting Becca to pry out any information she could tell me but unfortunately she hasn't said anything back.
"Okay this is getting out of control would someone please talk to me!" I stood up and yelled at the adults. Anger flashing in my eyes I felt that strange sensation again in my body. I started to tremble and then I saw it a slow smoke creeping up my body making me disappear with electricity sparking out of the cloud, now all that was seen of my body was my head the rest a dark cloud.
As Leo stepped closer to Alison he could see her eyes had turned black as if her pupils had consumed her scleras. The cloud of smoke that had formed around her now sparked with what appeared to be bolts of electricity.
"Ali please try to calm down, listen to my voice come back to me," Leo said soothingly.
It was strange I could see everything around me but it was as if I was looking from the outside at the scene before me, like it was some strange episode of a show. I could see my family trying to talk to me but I couldn't seem to make out their words. Then I felt it a soothing touch to my cheek and I instantly felt calm, the tremble had stopped and the cloud slowly released my body and disappeared. As I looked up I saw Leo with his hands cupping my face staring into my eyes. It snapped me out of the daze that I was in, but my body felt weak and my legs soon gave out. As I descended down to the ground Leo grabbed me and scooped me up in his arms. He carried me up the stairs to my room and laid me down on my bed. My vision started to fade away and the exhaustion took over.
While I slept the mysterious man came to me in my dreams. I was in a field of beautiful flowers and he gracefully walked towards me.
"My love I'm so glad to see you again so soon", he said with a lustrous voice.
"Who are you?" I asked raising an eyebrow.
" I am Prince Jasper of the shadow kingdom," said the mysterious man as he bowed in front of me. He gracefully stood back up brushing the wrinkles from his pants.
I could feel the wind blowing my hair and and smell of the flowers were intoxicating. I could feel the dirt beneath my toes. I looked around the valley and could see a castle in the distance.
"Where are we? I asked curiously at this Jasper fellow.
"Well technically we are no where." He said and shrugged his shoulders.
Puzzled I subconsciously started to scratch my head, why was he so cryptic. Assuming he must have seen my annoyance on my face he decided to further his statement.
"This is actually your dream that I have somehow stumbled upon, but the interesting thing is how vividly you have remembered the place in which is the backdrop to this dream world." Jasper said with curiosity.
He started to walk closer to me and reached out his hand to me. I looked at his opened palm and thought about placing mine in his. I did not feel any malicious intent from him so I placed my hand within his. I felt warm sense of peace with him.
"Oh my dear Alison how I've waited so long to touch you." He said with a smile on his face.
" I don't understand how you seem to know me." I questioned.
"All will be answered I swear to you in do time."
"Then please ease my mind I feel as if I'm going crazy." I said with more force than I meant to have.
" I can tell you this thus far I have watched you grow up into the woman your becoming, along with my other powers I have, I have inherited my mother's gift of sight, I have seen things to come, hence how I've watched you've grown, I have seen you laugh with your friends and I have seen you weep alone." Jasper said with some despair.
"I don't understand then why have you just found me now?"
"Ive waited for 17 years for you to no longer be spelled bound to find where you were located, that is why I came to you the other night, while I watched you in my visions all this time I could not help but fall in love with you"
With those words I felt my knees buckle and a warmth building up in my core, Jasper grabbed me to steady my balance. I felt his warm grip tingle down my arm he looked into my eyes and leaned in closely, I let my eyes flutter shut, then I felt a surge of electricity course through me when his lips brushed against mine.
At that moment I flew off my bed and landed on the floor with a loud thump. My hair was matted to my face dripping with sweat, my heart pounding, I was dreaming definitely but it had felt so real. I could still feel the lingering effect of his lips against mine, Jasper was his name and I needed to see this man again.
