They just stared at me, the young man seemed to have gotten my bread and was a step shy of me. I reach over and snatch the two rolls and devour them as I start tasting them they are hard and dry and begin coughing *hmph hmph* I manage to get them down and sigh looking at the young boy "they are quite bland aren't they?" He cracks a small smile and apologizes "uhm sorry but journey bread needs to last a while so they are made that way." I nod to myself and reply "I must digress let me heal this human and we can all be on our way. Un" where did that come from…. I don't like silly ways of speech. The two look at me with awe and the girl Literally shouts "YOU KNOW HEALING MAGIC?!?!" I merely tilt my head and ask
"Is that all too shocking?"
POV CHANGE: Princess Victoria Del Brightstar
I stare at her and can't believe it… healing magic is amazingly rare... only 1% of magically gifted get it. And only 12% of people are born with magic alignment… "yes it is amazingly rare that less than 5 people in the entire kingdom of Forgala have it." I feel a slight disparity in comparison. I wish I had any magic.. I was talentless as far as anyone was concerned. "Even I who was born in the Royal family has no magic" a bitterness overwhelms me.
This little girl has so much power and made quick work of those monsters and here I am a helpless damsel in distress.
Then I see her smile and reply "to think you can be so animate talking to a monster? A Witch?" I merely roll my eyes and reply "you don't act like either, you don't. You seem almost human right Nicholas?" He replies "yeah I feel the same way." Oh where are my manners?! "My name is Victoria Del Brightstar, the third princess of the kingdom of Forgala, this is Nicholas James Nithus the Duke's second son" I curtsy.
Return to me
"Yeah, pleasure to meet you I have no name but likewise" they stare at me like no tomorrow the young boy no Sir Nicholas "why don't you have a name?!" Replying to him is a waste of breath and I change the topic "Well I should heal this ummm shoujo?" As I put my hands above his chestnut hair and decide to use mend spell a middle tier spell and even I'm caught off guard by the amount of Mana I burned by it. Mama:495 … 122 points of Mana!!!! The glowing white aura looks like moonlight and his injures look to be repairing themself. He starts to stir and looks right at me and I get an even greater shock from his next words "to think such a goddess would take pity on me." As I look away, why does my face feel like it's burning. The others look as befuddled as I. "I think he has a major concussion or amnesia" as I finish up I decide it's time to leave. I start to walk away back to the woods and into the forest. Sir Nic shouts "where are you going?" The girl Victoria also says the same thing and I turn to look at them and for some reason it hurts to say such lines "We all know I'm not welcome among humans, they would sooner burn anything they don't understand and dissect it to learn about it. I was born into this world alone and I shall die alone." Tears stream down my face as the reality hits me. I choose such a lonely existence.. fitting for me no? I turn to leave as the two take a step forward and stop. I vanish back into the forest away from the humans I saved, the first people I met in a new world, a cruel world and an unfavoring place and I now know why I have only a 1 in luck.
It's been about six and a half months since I met the humans Nic and Vicky I never did catch the name of the brown haired man. I have been rather lonely lost in myself but I decided to delve deep into magic, more to understand it further but I know the truth. I miss talking to people. I miss it all. I have built a small shed that acts as my home and carved misdirection and anti threat runes which will keep my home hidden from human and beastly eyes. I was currently researching blood magic and trying to understand if it is evil or good or neutral. A lot of the art seems to be incredibly wicked to be honest but some seems to help and or heal certain conditions like blood malediction but I decided to shelve it three days in. I finally got the hang of hunting I also leveled up a couple times(level 4 hp 95 Mana 1122 str 4 stm 17 end 9 mag 232 Wis 104 Int 794), and I've found out something rather neat I can eat moonlight! Not literally but I seem to absorb it and I get a very full feeling. I continue to do all my natural activities and look with some glee as I can do some very otaku moves. SPELL CRAFTING! Get! I am currently trying to make something like final fantasy magic and transmutation and transfiguration a black wing. So far I managed two spells: thunder and haste. As I continue my studies into it I'm certain I can evolve further… thundara, thundraga but what about barrier? Hmmm "I don't see why not right?" I ask no one in particular. Just trying to no no I won't admit it. As I'm researching new ways to make spells something far away in a castle is taking place.
POV Princess Victoria Del Brightstar
I haven't seen the little girl in a while so I decided to talk to my mother about it. Knocking on the door and waiting patiently she replies "my dear Bretna I won't lend you the coin to buy such a dress, you have plenty already and we mustn't spend so frivolously. "Mother it's Victoria, can I have a moment of your time?" Hearing her mother's shocked voice. "of course my dear sweetie, come in!" I step into her parlour usually I don't speak with mother much besides her duties as Queen and dealing with my oldest sister she is terribly busy. I looked at her and frankly I inherited most of my looks from my mother. As she looks at me curious as to why such an unusual event took place. "Sweetie why do you look so downtrodden?" As she says those words I can't help but remember that face of the little Witch such a sad face. "Mother can I tell you the events of my outing with Sir Nicholas James Nithus? She nods her head. I take a deep breath and say "what really happened?" And she looks shocked, she had heard a party of adventurers had heard their screams and defeated those vile creatures. She thinks to herself so I can finally hear the real story. "Please my dear child go on." "Mother we were saved by a Witch'' silence permeates the room "I'm sorry you were saved by what?" Her brain was a little fried and thought she misheard. "A Witch mother, a bonafide Witch. She was roughly 9 maybe 10 came and saved us using fire and wind magic and took bread as her prize for saving us." Queen Nyna Del Brightstar was trying to process what she just heard but really couldn't. "My dear sweetie is what you say true?" I decided to tell mother everything from beginning to end including the part where she rambled on. "Or you saying she was completely cognitive." Her mother was shocked near speechless. A witch with perfect morality?! She would mull on this more later. As she looked at her daughter she noticed something she hasn't seen a while from her "why do you bring this up Victoria? What do you want me to do about this?" I sigh heavily and say "mother save her from her loneliness!" A week later, a gathering of soldiers and a stern and cruel looking man takes a deep breath looking at the third princess Victoria "so there is a sane Witch you say and they saved you? Did they ask for blood or want to eat you?! " The girl is crying nonstop "please don't hurt her!!!" The man sighs "if she gives up peacefully I won't hurt her." The girl was still crying "not the church…. Anywhere but there!" The man is a knight commander named Xander Flambera just heaves a heavy sigh "I'm sorry but the church knows best how dangerous Witches are, and by right Witches must be handled by them."
