Chapter 1 - Prologue

Dark Stormy Night.

Thunderbolts were claiming the starless sky as if they were on strike for the injustice. Looked like, they were trying to enlighten the world and awake people with their roar.

In the most dense part of a jungle, a young lady in red was lying on the ground on her right arm facing the dense forest which were covering the gloomy sky. As if they had tried to hide her.

Despite wearing a red Ukata and in such dark atmosphere, one could sense that her whole body was drenched with blood.

An arrow perforated her left ankle and a dagger ran through her from behind. Blood oozing through constantly from her wounds.

She was feeling suffocated as she couldn't breath while blood was coming out from her mouth.

Suddenly, she felt like her whole body was burning as if her internal organs were melting along with profound sweating.

She couldn't help twisting her lips in a mocking smile even in this state. This smile slowly turned into a laughter, laughter of maniac while her whole body was trembling.

The sound of laughing were echoing around the forest, overlapping the sound of thunderbolt.

A sudden cough interrupted the laughter, followed by the blood coughed out of her mouth. Her body started to get collapse and a single droplet of tear rolled out of her foxy eyes.

She had long knew the dagger was coated with poison. But only then, she realized that it wasn't some paralyzing poison but the very poison she created to torture the traitors.

The nerve they had...

Jia Du, the poison used on her, had no cure. It only led people to their demise slowly but surely and painfully.

However, her physical injuries were nothing compared to the emotional damages she was going through.

The feeling of being betrayed, betrayed by her own family, by her blood relatives was way more intense than any kind of physical agony.

What's most ironic part was her closest kin, her own twin brother back stabbed her just to gain her power. The person she shared womb, the very person trusted with claimed her life.

Here, right now, she, Huang Xin'er, the sole heiress of the great Huang family, the Queen of poisons, Master of Divine Magic, was dying tragically just because she trusted her twin brother.

What could something more ironic than this??

She didn't know....

Her lips were still curled into a mocking smile which she didn't know whether was for her misery or her stupidity.

The great Huang family always devoted to the heavens because, only 'The one' from their bloodline would able to tame Devine Magic in humankind.

From every generation, Heaven choose a capable one and that person became the next clan leader regardless of gender.

Every single leader would lead the clan towards the greater prosper.

There was no one in her 'Devoted to Heaven' family would dare to oppose to this decision of heaven till now. It was because the consequences of angering them would be way more dire.

To think, her brother would defy the Heaven for the hunger of power was really something that even she wouldn't have dared.

Was his thirst for power that intense?

Her black orbs, which were scarlet because of tears, was burning, burning with the thirst for revenge and justice.

Revenge from her own twin, from her power hungry brother and her so called relatives. Along with the justice she was earning for, justice for her parents and her master.

They were just killed brutally only because they chose to walk on the righteous path and would never go against heaven law.

Funny right??

What right fate had to play such a big joke to her?? To her family??

She twisted her left hand behind and removed the dagger gritting her teeth. Then she laid on ground facing the dense leaves and the gloomy sky through its tiny gaps.

As soon as she removed the dagger from her wound, the flow of blood increased by many folds.

On the spur of the moment, she was lying in the pool of blood.

As blood was running out of her body, she could feel she was running out of time. Her breathings were getting heavier as time passed.

In her last moments, she gritted her teeth, gathering all her might she put a curse on her bloodline.

"If the Heaven truly exists, if the God truly exists, I curse the bloodline of Huang family. From their peak, they will lose their glory and reputation, they will lose their mastery over Devine magic and I'll personally make sure of it even if I had to reincarnate thousands of time."

Her breathing started to get fainter and finally she breathed her last.

The thunder storm didn't stop but the heavy rainfall claimed the world. As if the nature was mourning for the loss.

In the middle of storm and heavy rainfall, a man's silhouette reached the cold, lifeless body.

Reaching to her, he hugged the dead body without hesitation and murmured, "I'm sorry Xin'er. I'm late."

Then he placed a kiss crown of the body's head and hugged tightly, "I'll be there for you even you have to go through a thousand reincarnations."
