"What did it mean you have feelings for Evan? Jace asked as they both sat at the table for breakfast, they were other children at the tables but he ignored their noise.
" I know about the kiss and all that but it isn't serious, Bedelia. I don't trust him, I think he's up to something and I'll not go to watch you fall for it"
"Who said anything about falling for him and I'm not going to be a victim in his plan, Jace" Bedelia took her time to observe him, the impatient tap on the table, the angry flickers.
"Wait...are you jealous" now she smiled and flick the strand of hair behind her ear.
I'm not..." He stopped at a heartbeat and stared deliberately at her. "It's not jealousy, Bedelia. I just don't want to see you hurt".
Bedelia slid across his seat and place her head on his chest and just this calm her, she had been drowning in worries lately but the thought of having Jace here with her calmed her.
