As quickly as she can, Irene hurried down the dark spiral steps, she just needed to deliver a message to the prison. And she had to do it without being seen because that would be the end of her. She had sneaked out of her duty post just to deliver the message and she had carefully marked out when the prison could be accessible to her.
She wasn't missing this chance and she was also certain that everyone that could likely suspect her was occupied at that moment. And secretly, she had taken the dark spiral step that leads to the chaotic kitchen and then to the prison.
If she was caught she has a lot of explanations to give because there was no reason for her to follow this path which was only accessible to the servants, cooks, and guards who were in charge of the prisoners. She had no business here and just like before she had to remind herself that the risk was worth taking.
