"Sorry I arrived late. I was caught up in some emergency. As an apology I got us this," Kai wearing grey long sleeve sweaters and black trousers said. He lifts the wine in his right hand for them to see.
He walked closer to where everyone was seated. It so happened that the only space remaining was beside Qin Lan.
"Your apology is accepted so have a seat and join us," Jasmine replied while beaming at Kai. She pointed her finger at the space beside Qin Lan when she saw that Kai was reluctant to sit there.
"Jas, you never mentioned that he was going to join us," Jackson said.
Even though Jasmine had chosen to forgive Kai, Jackson's expression showed his inner feelings.
He knew Kai wasn't a part of Jane's scheme but seeing his face brought back the memories of all that Jane had done to harm Jasmine.
He can forgive him but how can he bring himself to forget all that happened?
