"What on earth is wrong with dad today?" Alfred whispered into the ears of his wife. Elizabeth shrugged to show that she was as clueless as him.
"Dad, you can hate me all you want but I will be very upset if you transfer your hatred for me to the child. She is innocent after all," Jasmine said coldly. She stood up and left the dining table and Jackson run after her.
"Why did you have to act that way in the first place, now look at what you have done," Mrs Avans said unhappily.
"She isn't the only one who knows how to get angry, I also get angry too," Mr Avans also stood up and left the dining room too.
"I haven't seen Dad this angry in a long time. Mum, did you perhaps upset him before we arrived?" Elizabeth said staring at her father's departing back.
"I am as astonished as you to see him act this way," Mrs Avans said. The three of them likewise left the dining table.
