"Goodbye, Jasmine. I wish you a happy ever after this time around," Nicholas said forcing on a smile. He spun and walked away afterwards leaving Jasmine amazed by his words and actions.
"What has come over him? He is not the type to easily give up on what he has set his mind on so what made him change his mind this time around?" Jasmine muttered, her gaze glued on his departing back.
And what did he mean by Father threatened him? Did father and Lizzy confront him in my absence?
Jasmine was so lost in thoughts. She didn't see Jackson standing outside entering the restaurant.
"Jas," Jackson called out on reaching where she sat. He was surprised when she didn't answer but instead continued to space out.
"What is wrong? Did he do or say something inappropriate to you?" Jackson asked, touching her on the right shoulder. This action of his jolted Jasmine back to reality.
"You are here. When did you get here?" Jasmine said acting a bit weird?
