A fierce explosion blasted across the vast, empty ocean under them, a blinding white light engulfing anything and everything in its path. When it resolved, the sight was unbelievable. The very continent was back, good as new as if the fight between the Systems had been a mere illusion.
"How did you…" Core uttered in shock
"Impressive. Now if only your little trick brought everyone back from the dead. Now wouldn't that be swell?" Melina taunted as she held Xenia's lifeless body by the hair, dangling her over the edge.
"What do you think you're doing? Are you trying to use her as leverage?" He grunted, unamused as he floated in the air off to the side of the island.
"No no! You can have her. Here," she threw the corpse at Rein, who gently caught it, then drifted back onto the solid ground of the floating piece of land.
