Dawn broke, and Rein awoke from his slumber. The gulf's cavern had lit up just as before, coinciding with the rising and setting of the sun. He got up and put his shoes on, then left the building, jumping out of the window into the disheveled cavern.
Activating his wind Spring, he flew up to the ceiling of the cavern, finding a space between the glowing rocks. He gave the Hasbin gulf one last look, then created a hole in the ceiling, flying out into the lake water and closing the hole behind him.
When he reached the surface, he dried himself promptly from all of the water, then noticed something strange in the world. There was no noise. He could not sense any life forces from any direction he faced.
"It's done," Rein thought to himself as he flew over to the neighboring town of Stogue.
