"Shit! She didn't die," he reactivated System takeover and tried shrugging her off, but before he could even begin to struggle, her grip on him relented, collapsing back onto the sand, creating a cloud of smoke as she impacted.
"I lost. I used a soul," she admitted, her wound healed halfway.
"You give up then?" Rein asked as he picked up his swords again, pointing them at her as she lay there on the sand, eyes closed with a satisfied smile on her face.
"How's that red-haired guy? He was really strong," she struck up a conversation.
"He's fine. Why do you care?"
"He reminded me a lot of my father. Weird of me to get all nostalgic about it since I killed him as soon as I got my System," her smile disappeared, being replaced by an awry frown.
"You're fucked up, mentally."
"I know. But now that I look back on it, I think I actually liked my dad. It's a shame he died," she continued talking nonsense.
