After several grueling minutes of waiting, Rein had finally honed in on something, and it was clear to all that were watching him. His eyes gaped open, and his face turned in the direction of the signal, westward.
"They are in the Elven Forest," he recited robotically.
Zane heaved a long sigh of relief, but Rein's face hadn't relaxed. He furrowed his expression at the other forces he sensed in the vicinity. Though faint, he was able to sense a set of three familiar sources of energy surrounding the girls.
Rein scratched his head in bewilderment, as normally he'd only be able to sense the energy of his contractors, along with those he had grown an awareness to. Yet these three energy sources perplexed Rein greatly. In his mind, they shouldn't have even existed, as he had just vanquished them in Alwaaq.
