"Nian Zhen, I didn't expect you to work as a waitress," said Yu Yingyi.
"I started working as one since I had a lot of free time in my hands, plus, it pays well so I don't have any complaints," said Nian Zhen.
"I see, it's just that your personality doesn't suit the image of a waitress," said Yu Yingyi.
"I've heard that line multiple times today and I agree. A few customers said I seem kind of scary because of my unchanging appearance. Am I scary?" asked Nian Zhen.
Yu Yingyi didn't know how to reply. If she met someone whose expression or tone doesn't change at all, she'd find it a bit scary. But she didn't want to somehow offend Nian Zhen.
"I don't think you're scary, it's just a bit nerve-racking talking to someone who speaks so straightforwardly," said Yu Yingyi.
"Ah, that makes sense," said Mei Xiang, her expression and tone still unchanging.
