Zaiden was well aware about the issue but at the same time he realized something important. He was assured that no matter what Garry would not hurt him, and to prevent any more damage he had to make sure to put his own life in danger. He had nothing against goblins or any other races existing and mingling with the rest.
Hence he decided to help Syler, now that Garry was not totally a vampire he would have been excluded from Zaiden's list of enemies. But in that particular moment he reversed all those thoughts by not complying to Zaiden' demand. The boy was not used to the defying and denying of his commands by anyone, that's why it irked him and he was agitated by the response.
