Syler realized he had to respond to him in clear words, rather than going round and round which was his habit. The goblins were mysterious creatures who were used by vampires for their own benefits. Since they could potentially see the future of an individual person without any faults, the literal vampires used them as seers. They wanted to see the arrival of the known O blood group, considering a few noble blood disappeared including the ancient family.
However the goblins did not comply to do that task since the proud race felt humiliated upon being threatened by some other dying race. The vampires had no idea that their chase to eradicate the potential threat (Zaiden) would cost them the disruption of the natural balance.
