The red mouse retreated after getting a sight of the man in the cloak. However, it did not go back to where Bloodstar was before scouting the location of the lunar abominations. This was his secondary objective. Bloodstar had given the mouse three tasks, get the location of the 'black cloak', second, the place where the Lunar Abominations were being prepped.
The mouse may look small but it was one of the most dreaded beings in the wild. They were able to erase their scent, they had hollow bones like a bird, thus they made a minimal sound when moving. In the forest, this sound will be easily broken down to nothing.
Even the progenitor of the so-called demons, cannot detect them. The mouse moved into the forest and after half a day detected the cave hidden deep within the greens. It wanted to get close to getting more evidence but the guards made it impossible. The person in the black cloak had some obscure-looking demons standing in the surroundings.
