Oleksiy Vlad sent his men to track and drag his half-son, Drac Vlad, back to the mansion. His men were very strong, they could use their capabilities to their limits. They contacted their familiars in the city first to get a wind of Drac's whereabouts then rode a car to the city.
Familiars were humans who served vampires in the dreams of turning into one someday. They were more loyal to their vampire master than a dog to its master. They will not hesitate to kill their closest people when asked to.
Soon the four guards got the news that they were looking for. Drac had somehow found out that Bones Smith killed his wife and was on his way to confront the hunter. They know that it will turn out as a disaster so they quickly informed Oleksiy Vlad about Drac's plan. The vampire lord was angry but now even angrier that he felt his head was about to burst.
Enraged, he ran out of his house. Kicking the rules of hiding identities to the crib, he shape-shifted. Oleksiy Vlad stood in the gardens of the mansion, and suddenly his figure burst into a dozen of bats as they all flew into one direction. He used the bond of the master to locate Drac.
The latter was at Warmth Avenue, the place where Bones lived. He used his vampire charm to confuse the guards and employees and sneaked inside Bones' home. He was waiting for the hunter to arrive and then he would hunt him, just like how the latter killed his wife.
...
Inside the hunter's residence, Drac was making a mess. He smashed the decorations and turned over the furniture, nothing was left as it was. He was filled with rage. Suddenly the door opened, Bones walked inside holding his helmet. As his gaze scanned the devastated room, his cold eyes did not fluctuate. He glanced at Drac as he said, "Why to kill your family for your own death wish?"
Drac spat in anger, "You filthy tumor, how dare you kill my Liya. I will make you pay for it. I heard that you half breed(s) don't turn into ash. I will make you regret being born with no weaknesses." He snarled at Bones baring his fangs and was about to charge when a dozen of bats broke inside the room from the window.
The bats formed a silhouette of a man, and Oleksiy Vlad took form. He glanced around the room, then looked at Bones, who gave him a cold stare. He said, "I apologize for my son to have barged into your home."
Bones said, "I don't care. You have two choices now. You can bend down to apologize to me or you can kill me and then the tribunal will kill your whole clan, even those vampire familiars of yours."
Never in his whole life that Oleksiy Vlad thought there would be such a day. He snarled at Bones. How dare this half-breed ask for his hand? He glanced at his half-son and glared at him. He gritted his teeth. Drac, however, suddenly charged forward at Bones. Oleksiy Vlad knew that if he was not stopped, then Bones may kill them right now. He quickly vanished from his place and held down his son.
Bones chuckled, "You guys sure are funny. One wants to kill me, while the other wants to save me. What is wrong with you, Olek..." He acted as if he was a long-lost friend of Oleksiy Vlad.
The vampire snorted and said, "This is the third time you have made me lose, half-breed. I will make you pay. You will suffer my wrath."
Bones upon hearing his words started laughing loudly, "Hahahahahahahahaha.." The whole house echoed with a burst of maniacal laughter.
He let out the pressure from his body. His eyes turned icy blue and the rubber band holding his hair together burst into pieces. In a distorted voice, he spoke, "YOU ARE THE DOG OF THAT CREATURE, WHO GAVE BIRTH TO ME. I WILL HAVE YOUR ASHES IN AN URN JUST LIKE I WILL HAVE HIS. APOLOGIZE TO ME, IF YOU DON'T WANT TO DIE YET."
Oleksiy Vlad turned pale after witnessing such power. He did not dare to delay and kneeled in front of Bones, his eyes looking down at the ground. This was a standard apologizing posture of vampires. Drac, who was left lying down on the ground, was shocked to the core. His father, the great Oleksiy Vlad, the head of a vampire clan, bowed his head to a half breed.
Bones spat, "Get out of here, I want a new decor by tomorrow, or I will pay a visit to your home. Also, tie this dog well. I will kill him if he falls in my sights the next time."
Oleksiy Vlad raised his head, but his eyes were still locked to the floor. The strike on his pride was too hard. In the past, he had to kneel twice in front of this same guy. Never had he ever kneeled in front of anyone. He grabbed Drac by the back of his neck and dragged him out of the house from the window.
His figure shape-shifted into a dozen of bats while carrying Drac. He flew off to his home. Given his strength, the flight was short. He dropped Drac from the sky, right on the fountain in the driveway.
BANG!!!
The whole place shook. It has been a short time when he flew off. Victoria, Argentia, and the rest came out and saw as Oleksiy Vlad thrashed Drac into a bloody broken doll. He said in rage, "Tie a leash around his neck. He is not to take a step out of his room without my knowledge."
Victoria never saw her father like this. She wanted to ask what was the matter when, the mutilated Drac said in a weak voice, "If you want to take out the anger of kneeling in front of a half breed, then do it on him, I dare you. Your blood seal restricts me, or I would have shown you my strength, dear father."
His voice may be weak but the crowd had the super hearing. They were bats in a way. They were all shocked. Argentia snarled, "Rubbish, how can the master kneel to a half breed? Tell me."
Oleksiy Vlad stood there in shame and shock for he did not expect his half-son to reveal it to everyone. Drac coughed up a lot of blood as he chuckled. Even though he was regenerating, it will take some time. He said, "Look at him, all frozen, and tell me if you think what I said was a lie? Instead of killing the half breed who killed my bride, he knelt in front of him. That bastard thing called him a dog, and he left him be."
The more he spoke, the more everyone was shocked. Oleksiy Vlad let out a heavy breath. He walked up to his mutilated son and stomped his head into mush. He spoke, "Those who heard his words are all the witnesses of my shame, they shall keep it a secret in their deaths." Then he snapped his fingers.
Except for Victoria and Argentia, all the servants turned to bloody fog. The decoration of the castle walls now matched the crimson rose garden, shining brightly under the moonlight. Victoria was shocked. She had never seen her father like this. He would never kill in front of her. She wanted to ask him again what happened when Oleksiy Vlad spoke in a cold voice, "Call back, Aran, he is needed here." Then he turned to his wife and said, "Because of your loyalty, I am leaving you alive. Take care of our daughter. I am leaving home for a journey to meet someone, I don't know how long it will take me."
Before he flew away, he muttered, "I will make you pay the prize, half breed."
