While Bones was snorting over the name people have given him. A beautiful girl had just stepped out of the conference room. She walked firmly on her high heels. Her long jade legs were exposed to air. She was wearing a blood-red one piece. The skin-tight fabric highlighted her curves to the fullest. Her hazel eyes were sharp and enchanting. She had long curly auburn hair falling on her back as if a silk cape.
She had an almond face, curved eyebrows, sharp nose. Her complexion was milky white. Her red lips were like a crimson rose blooming on her face. Yet her cold persona made people gaze at her from afar. Whenever she took a step out of her cabin at work the whole office will descend into silence.
This girl was Victoria Vlad. CEO Vlad Groups, a conglomerate worth billions of credits (currency of Tannera). She was also the heir of the Vlad family. They do have males among the linage but Victoria was the most capable among them. She rules the family and the company with an iron hand. The first thing she did when she took the CEO post was to kick out the shareholder.
Whether it was by hook or by crook, she got back the equity. Her methods were so sleek that the company's net profit grew by 50% in the first year she took charge. She was one of the most talented businesswomen. The most surprising factor is that her age is only 25 years old. Never has the biz world seen such a young talent.
Right now she was done with work and was head home. Five meters ahead of her walked two bodyguards. They wore black suits with a crimson rose embroidered on the left chest pocket. The crimson rose was the crest of the Vlad family.
Victoria was escorted by four armed guards. She walked straight to the entrance of the building. A long extended car was parked there already. One of the guards held the door open for her. She climbed straight into the car.
The vehicle started, followed by two heavy all-terrain cars. Inside the vehicle, Victoria took out her mobile. If other people saw it they will be shocked that this cold business tycoon was playing bubble buster. It was a game that had gained a lot of popularity among kids ranging from 5 to 13 years old.
Victoria may be a cold young adult but, her heart was that of a teenager. She was not the person who would wear their hearts on sleeves. Her family, although rich, was very petty in terms of emotion. Never had Victoria once experienced any cherishable moment. Well, she always shrugs it off with, 'What do you expect from vampires? They are dead. Dead people have no emotions.'
Yes, the Vlad family was a vampire nobility. One of the oldest, and certainly the strongest. The house of the Vlad family was actually a castle on the outskirts of the city. The whole place looked like it came out of those fantasy movies. Red roof tiles, a garden filled with lush crimson roses. The amorous fragrance lingered in the surroundings. The driveway had a big fountain, with angel statues. The luxury of the place could never be explained in words.
It was unknown when the vehicle reached home as Victoria was immersed in the game. She only snapped out when the door was opened for her. She got off the car with a cold face. As soon as she stepped inside the doors she heard a wail, "WHO DARES???"
Victoria glanced at the source of the wail. A maid beside her spoke in a low voice, "Princess, something happened to Miss Liya. She went out alone, now is missing for two hours."
The girl raised her eyebrow and walked to the study on the second floor, from where the wail erupted. She climbed a wide marble staircase. Came to the second floor and pulled open the door of the study room.
Inside stood a man with auburn hair, his eyes were blood red. His canines were longer than others. Beside the man stood a woman, she had the same auburn hair, her face matched with Victoria a lot. They seemed to be sisters. The lady wore a skimpy gown with her hair tied in a high bun.
Victoria walked inside and greeted her, "Mother." yeah, that woman is her mother, Argentia Vlad.
The man was her half-brother, Drac Vlad. He was turned into a vampire by her father when he was a kid. As for his hair color? They are dyed to match the family traits. Pathetic excuse of inheritance. Unlike Victoria, who was born to Argentia when the latter was a newly turned vampire. Vampires cannot have offsprings. A pureblood like Victoria was very rare, their strength was way too much as well.
Argentia smiled at her, "Vici. How was the day, sweetheart?"
Victoria replied, "It was fine mother, the same old. By the way, why are you screaming like this Drac?"
Drac scoffed, "Why does the blood princess care about her half-brother?"
Victoria glared at him, "Did you forget, who you are talking to? HALF-BROTHER?" she hated being called the blood princess. Drac just made her angry. She bared her fangs at him. Her eyes turned crimson red. A terrifying pressure radiated from her. Everyone inside the castle felt suffocated. This was the might of the pureblood vampire.
Argentia coughed slightly and Victoria took back her pressure. She said, "Vici, don't mind him. Liya had an accident outside."
Victoria said in a low voice, "This is the fifth case this month. Is the source still not located?"
Argentia shook her head. She said, "Your father is looking into it. Don't worry. I will talk to Drac, you go take some rest."
Victoria gazed at her mother with weird eyes and said, "You do know that vampires don't get tired right?"
Her mother shook her head with a smile. She said, "Maybe not physically but mentally they do. Go now."
Victoria nodded and after glaring at Drac one more time she walked out of the study. She could hear the voices behind her. Her mother was trying to console Drac that there are other girls in the world. The girl shook her head and walked to her room. On the way, the servants bowed to her as they greeted, "Good evening, princess."
She hated how they used to call her blood princess in the past. But this current address wasn't much better either. It reminded her of that name, the title she hated. When she entered her room, she scoffed as she threw off her heels, "Humph, why not call me the bored princess? Losers."
...
The two people, Bones Smith, and Victoria Vlad. They were bound to become the instruments in hateful symphony about to be played. They had no idea that fate has decided to scrub their plans and write a masterpiece of its own.
