Janice felt as if the world that she had been thinking was real and the memories of a happy family were all sinking down to bottom.
She couldn't open the door and ask her mother if what she heard was really a truth or just a distorted and rumoured lie. She just couldn't gulp down the fact that this might as well be a possibility.
But the facts were right in front of her. Her mother had changed a lot perhaps even more than she could notice while she was all playing around and busy growing up.
The relationship that her mother and father had was also looking as if it was a vulnerable peice of glass right in front of her. The one that could break at any time even if she reaches out a little bit.
She was scared. She couldn't think of doing many things. In fact she couldn't do anything at all that day.
