Chereads / Annie Grey / Chapter 666 - It would be fun

Chapter 666 - It would be fun

"Are you sure that Maddie's coming? I know her and Annie's probably just wasting her time." said Ollie defeatedly, he would just cancel the entire picnic if this was not going to work and it seemed to be like that.

The last thing he wanted was for Maddie to have another reason to hate him the way she did. To be honest he was tired of trying to make her happy, tired of trying to make her accept him, he figured that maybe it was time that he let her be.

"Oh just relax dude, if there's anything I know, it's that Annie is just as stubborn as Maddie is and she's not going to take no for an answer, in fact they should be arriving in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1." said Matt counting down with his fingers when Annie and Maddie suddenly burst through the Castle doors.

"And we're here." said Annie as she and Maddie walked down the stairs. Maddie looked like she had been literally dragged over here, which she had been. If it was up to her, she would prefer to stay in the Castle eating and enjoying their final days here instead of going outdoors.

"Unfortunately." said Maddie with a frown.

"Don't mind her Ollie, let's get going." said Annie smiling brightly.

"Alright, if you say so, let's get going." said Ollie, he began to walk confusing Annie, Maddie and Matt.

"Aren't we going by carriage or something? I've agreed to come on this picnic, but I don't want to have to walk all the way over there, I'm not in the mood." said Maddie.

"When are you ever in the mood to be nice?" asked Matt as Maddie shot him a dirty glare.

"No, we're not taking the carriage, actually I thought that we could convey over there, it would be fun." said Ollie.

"That does sound fun." said Annie as she smiled.

"Ummm newsflash blondie, some of us aren't that skilled with conveying." said Maddie with a scoff. Was this blondie purposely trying to embarrass her or what? He knew that she couldn't convey and it made her feel so angry and sad that everyone else could and she couldn't.

She could not help but feel that Ollie knew that and still he wanted to embarrass her even more.

"Besides, we don't even know where you are taking us." she added. In all honesty, she was just looking for a valid excuse to wiggle herself out of this. If she somehow managed to discourage Ollie so much that he ended up cancelling the picnic himself, she would get her way and Annie wouldn't be able to be upset with her.

"I know that, you can just follow me and we'll go bit by bit." said Ollie as he disappeared in a flash and appeared a distance away.

"Come on, your turn." he shouted faintly from ahead.

"You heard the guy, let's go." said Matt as he followed in suit disappearing and appearing right beside Ollie in a flash.

"You can't be serious, what if I end up caught in a tree or something?" asked Maddie as Annie looked at her.

"I never knew that you could be so afraid, it's not like you to be afraid, I doubt anything like that will happen. Don't overthink it, just move." said Annie with a wink before she disappeared as well.

"Not cool, not cool at all you guys." shouted Maddie as Matt waved her over.

She groaned and shook her head, taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes and just focused on where she wanted to be right now, which definitely wasn't over here.

"Please don't take me to a tree." she mumbled under her breath as with a glimmer she disappeared and appeared right next to Annie.

"Yayyyyyyyy, you did it!" said Annie excitedly as she enveloped Maddie with a hug.

"You finally did it, great." said Matt as he smiled.

"I knew you could do it." said Ollie as he smiled and Maddie cleared her throat trying to stifle a smile.

"Of course I did it, what did you expect." said Maddie smugly as Annie giggled and Matt shook his head, Ollie on the other hand just chuckled, it was typical of Maddie to say that.

"Now let's pick up the pace." he said vanishing from sight appearing further ahead.

"Right behind you." said Matt as he vanished as well.

"Same." replied Annie as she vanished as well and Maddie followed after.

As soon as she materialized Ollie and the others were gone already causing her to quicken her pace.

Flashes of glimmer and light appeared and disappeared laughing and giggling until they reached the edge of the forest and Ollie was nowhere to be found.

"Alright, we're going to make it a little bit harder." came Ollie's voice but they couldn't see him.

"You can't see me now, I'm in the forest, you have to convey to me without seeing me." he said.

"That's easy." said Matt as he vanished.

"Show off." shouted Maddie as she heard Matt chuckle.

"It feels do good to be good at something that you're not for a change." came Matt's voice as Maddie scoffed.

"Well it won't be like that for long." she shouted back as Annie faded away and Maddie did the same.

"Found you." said Maddie as she flicked Matt at the back of his head when she appeared behind him.

"Ouch, not necessary at all Maddie, not necessary." he replied rubbing the back of his head.

"You need a haircut, your hair looks so messy." she noted.

"Thanks for spreading the news." said Matt in annoyance.

"Oh, but now that she mentions it, she's right, your hair looks really messy, when last did you get a haircut?" asked Annie as she touched his hear, it was getting really long and messy.

Not that she didn't like it, she liked any hairstyle on him, but it was weird seeing him with such long hair.

"They are right dude, you do need a haircut, if you like I could recommend my barber to you." said Ollie.

"Thanks for the offer dude, but my mom usually cuts my hair, besides, I don't feel like chopping my hair off right now." said Matt as he frowned.

"Well that's alright Matt, should we carry on?" asked Ollie as Annie and Matt nodded.

"Great, it's not too far now." said Ollie vanishing as he spoke.

"And I'm gone." said Maddie as she disappeared with a smirk and winked at Matt who scoffed as he and Annie followed after.

They all conveyed one more time before appearing in a lush, green valley filled with many different colourful flowers, in the midst of the colourful flowers was a lovely picnic laid out in a picturesque setting.

"Welcome to our picnic." said Ollie proudly as he walked over to the picnic and sat down.

"This looks so good Ollie." said Annie happily as she rushed to sit down beside him.

"You really outdid yourself dude, this really looks good." said Matt as he smiled and sat down.

"Thanks Matt." said Ollie as he smiled.

"And thank you Annie, however, I did not do it myself, I had some help." said Ollie.

"Of course you didn't typical of a pampered, blondie prince like you." said Maddie judgmentally as Annie shot her a dirty glare that read 'you better come and sit your butt down.'

Maddie reluctantly walked to the picnic blanket and sat down beside Annie.

"You really could have done better blondie." said Maddie judgmentally as Matt shook his head and facepalmed, Maddie could not even try to be nice, not even for a moment.

"I know that, but this was last minute, I kept on contemplating on cancelling it or not." said Ollie.

"Don't mind her Ollie, so tell me what's inside that pretty little basket over there." said Annie as she pointed.

"Well it's some fruits, snacks and dessert." replied Ollie.

"That sounds nice, let's dig in." said Annie.

"We will, but first there's something really amazing I need to show you." said Ollie as he stood up.

"Now what's that?" asked Maddie annoyed, at least she could look forward to the food since she was starting to feel really hungry, but now the blondie was talking about something else that didn't concern food.

"This valley isn't just an ordinary valley." said Ollie.

"How do you mean?" asked Matt.

"This is the valley of dancing flowers." said Ollie happily.

"Dancing flowers?" asked Matt, Annie and Maddie in a chorus.

"Yes." replied Ollie as he nodded.

"Dancing as in...?" asked Annie.

"They dance. When you dance a little bit, they reciprocate your moves and dance on their own." said Ollie.

"Now that sounds impossible, I can believe a lot of magical things, but not this one blondie, just shut it, sit down so we can eat." said Maddie.

"Oh but I'm serious Maddie, these flowers actually dance, I'll show you." said Ollie not upset.
