"Ahh no, white is not my favourite colour, but now that you mention it, my room is completely white." said Ollie as he laughed at the realization. He had never really thought about it before, probably because no one had ever brought it to his attention.
"Why is that?" asked Matt as he laughed.
"Well I don't really know... I guess that it's rather calming for me, and I just didn't think to add any other alternating colours." said Ollie as he seemed to be in deep thought.
Matt had just caused him to analyse his decorating choices which he had never given much thought to before.
"Hmm..." said Ollie as he hummed.
"Let's just say that I like things to look neat and warm, and I think that white is the best colour for that." said Ollie.
"Alright, that sounds reasonable enough." replied Matt as he smiled, he did not really care for Ollie's decorating choices, he just wanted to find out more about him.
"Yes, actually my favourite colour is green." said Ollie as he smiled and Matt burst into laughter.
"Is something wrong with that?" asked Ollie in confusion as he wondered why Matt was laughing so much, what was so funny?
"No dude, I'm sorry, nothing is wrong with that... it's just that..." said Matt as he continued laughing.
"Green is Maddie's favourite colour as well." said Matt as Ollie could not lie that he was not surprised by this new piece of information.
"Really?" he asked in surprise as Matt nodded.
"Really." he replied.
"Well that's really surprising, I would have never guessed that her favourite colour is green... to be honest I thought it would be something darker and much more dangerous, like red." said Ollie as Matt laughed even harder.
"I don't blame you for thinking that way, Maddie can be a lot.. violent, but no green is actually her favourite colour, always has been." said Matt as he smiled.
"Well what are the odds...at least we have something in common now." said Ollie as he laughed.
"I guess so, but don't mention that in front of her, for the sake of your health." said Matt as he laughed.
"Oh don't worry, I wasn't planning to." replied Ollie.
"So what's your favourite colour?" asked Ollie.
"Mine is orange." said Matt as he smiled.
"Nice, nice, and what's Annie's favourite colour?" he asked.
"Her favourite colour is purple." said Matt as he smiled.
"I actually guessed that one." said Ollie as he and Matt laughed.
"Well at least now I know something new about you guys." said Ollie as he smiled.
"Yes, so where am I going to sleep? There's only one bed." said Matt as he looked around.
"Ahh that's not a problem at all, do you want your own bed or bunk beds?" asked Ollie excitedly.
"I've always wanted to try out a bunk bed but it's kind of defeats the purpose when you have no one to bunk with." said Ollie enthusiastically.
Matt could see how excited Ollie was about the prospect of bunk beds, and he didn't want to disappoint him.
"Well I've never had a bunk bed before, so sure, why not?" asked Matt as he smiled.
"Awesome!" said Ollie excitedly as with a snap of his fingers his bed disappeared and was replaced with a white and orange bunk bed.
"That was quick." replied Matt in surprise.
"Don't think I'm weird but I've been saving that for a time that I would get to finally use it." said Ollie.
"Not weird at all." replied Matt honestly with a smile.
"Yes, so do you want the top bunk or the one below?" asked Ollie happily.
"I'm not sure... depends, do you snore?" asked Matt.
"Not at all, or at least I don't think so. I think that you should be the best to know, we did all camp together while on Caligo." said Ollie.
"True, and I didn't hear you snore, I'm just asking in case that changed." said Matt.
"Well then I don't snore." replied Ollie confidently.
"Well then I'll take the bottom bed." said Matt as he smiled.
"Alright, that leaves me with the top one." said Ollie happily as Matt's bags suddenly appeared in the room.
"I'm so happy that you guys are here." said Ollie as he smiled.
"Me too." replied Matt as he smiled.
...
"Oh just great, with those two sharing a room together, they will have more time to gossip." said Maddie in annoyance as she and Annie were on their way to the dining room.
"And what exactly is the problem with that?" asked Annie as she laughed.
"Well they'll have more time to gossip about us." said Maddie as Annie shook her head and laughed.
"Oh you're just being unreasonable Maddie, we talk about them all the time, they are allowed to talk about us as well, it's only fair." said Annie.
"I don't need that blondie tainting Matt with all his upside down ideals and whatnot." said Maddie.
"Like I said, you're just being unreasonable, and don't forget that you still owe Ollie an apology." said Annie as they walked through the dining room doors.
"Yeah, yeah." replied Maddie in irritation.
"Hello Annie, hello Maddie." said Ollie as he smiled, he and Matt had already been waiting for them.
"Hi Ollie, hi Matt." said Annie as she sat down and Matt smiled.
"I hope that your room is to your liking?" asked Ollie as he smiled.
"It's perfect." responded Annie happily as the maids set the table and left the same way they came.
"I'm glad that it is." replied Ollie.
"What about you Maddie?" asked Ollie as he looked at Maddie who had been staring keenly at both he and Matt.
"Whatever Annie said." she replied, her eyes narrowed, she wondered just how much gossiping these two had been up to since they left them alone.
"Alright." replied Ollie.
"Oh and I want to apologize, what I said was mean and uncalled for, and yada yada, yada, will you please forgive me?" she asked in an unbothered manner as Annie was far from pleased and so was Matt.
"Of course Maddie, I forgive you, I wasn't even angry in the first place." responded Ollie with a smile.
"Good, now let's eat." she said as she did not waste any time at all before eating her meal.
She could feel both Matt and Annie staring at her but she could not care any less. Not to get her intentions wrong, she did not think that she was mean at all, far from it. The only reason she apologized was because she did not want to jeopardize her chances of learning to convey tomorrow.
Annie just sighed in disappointment as Matt shook his head. Maddie could be very unreasonable when she wanted to be.
Dinner went on rather quietly. There was really nothing for all of them to talk about together, so everyone kept quiet and focused on their meal.
It was not until dinner was over and done with that Maddie started to wonder what exactly they would do for the rest of the evening. She was not in anyway sleepy at the moment and there was nothing interesting to do in their rooms.
"What do we do now blondie?" she asked as she looked at Ollie for a solution to their evening boredom. He was their host after all, and the job of the host was to entertain his guests.
"Hmmm... good question, I have no idea... I didn't plan this far." said Ollie as he seemed to be thinking.
"Ha, what a host you are." said Maddie mockingly.
"Don't mind her Ollie, I don't blame you." replied Annie.
"But she's right, I am supposed to keep my guests entertained." said Ollie.
"Don't be too hard on yourself, what do you usually do when you're at home during this time?" asked Matt.
"That's a hard question. I usually have dinner with my parents, when they are not busy. If they are busy I do some reading or listen to some music." said Ollie.
"Boring." declared Maddie as she faked a yawn. She was starting to rethink agreeing to come over here. They were already bored enough as it was back at the Palace, she did not come here to feel even more bored.
"I guess it is... I really don't do much... or at least not nowadays." said Ollie honestly as he pondered deeply. He truly did not want to be a boring host.
"Aha, I got it, why don't we play a game?" he asked happily as Annie, Maddie and Matt looked at him in surprise.
"What kind of game?" Annie asked.
"You'll see, come on." said Ollie as he stood up and they followed after him.
"This better not be some sort of boring game that old people play blondie." said Maddie.
"Not at all, just relax, it will be fun." he responded rather too excitedly.
