"You know what, I find it weird that Aunt Stella suddenly wants us to all go to her house" said Maddie as she was busy packing her things.
"I don't find it weird Maddie, after all, she did say that the Palace would be going through some security fixes" replied Annie.
"You see that's the thing, I don't believe that is true, if there are really some security fixes, why can't they just continue on with it while we are here? I mean it's not that hard, we can just stay out of their way" said Maddie.
"Something tells me that there is something they are hiding from us, and that includes Aunt Stella, Curtis obviously hides things, that his built in feature" said Maddie as Annie shook her head.
"Oh Maddie, I honestly think that you are reading into this too much, not everything is done because they are hiding things from us, what if this is just a regular security check and you are making a big deal out of nothing?" asked Annie.
"Oh my dear, sweet Annie, the world is more twisted than you think it is" said Maddie with a smile.
"And besides, always expect the worst so you won't be surprised when it actually happens" said Maddie.
"I can never change the way you think can I?" asked Annie as she shook her head.
"Depends on if I can make you see my point of view" replied Maddie with a smile.
"Are you guys done packing?" asked Matt with a smile as he knocked on the open door to Annie and Maddie's room.
"I'm done" replied Annie with a smile.
"I am almost done" said Maddie with a smile as Matt smiled.
"Are you done packing?" asked Annie with a smile.
"Yes I am, it's not like I have many things to pack, which makes me wonder what you are packing in there Maddie?" asked Matt in confusion as Annie laughed, she had to agree with Matt on that one.
"Oh Matty boy, my sweet Matty boy, I have everything I will need in here" said Maddie.
"I don't get it Maddie, and I don't want to get it" said Matt as Maddie laughed.
"Anyway Matt, Maddie was saying that she found this whole thing suspicious, and that there is something being hidden from us" said Annie.
"That might be true, I mean you never known, at this point, I don't even care, eventually they will have no other choice than to tell us what they are hiding from us" said Matt.
"True, but that doesn't mean that we are stupid and don't know what's going on" said Maddie as she shook her head.
"But whatever, I don't care, this just better not end up being something dangerous" said Maddie with a scoff as she zipped up her suitcase.
"True, so how is your mom Maddie?" asked Matt.
"Oh Matt, I don't know, and It's killing me, she hasn't responded to me all day" said Maddie with a sigh.
"I just want all of this to end already, so she can get back over here safe and sound" said Maddie.
"I know Maddie, I know" said Annie as she sighed.
"Anyway, let's go, I am sure that Aunt Stella is waiting for us" said Maddie as her suitcase followed after her on its own.
"Alright then" said Matt as he followed behind Maddie and Annie.
…
"Nia, when I tell you that I was terrified, I really was terrified" said Clove.
"Well Sage if you ask me, you are lucky that Azazel didn't punish you, or kick you out of his office literally" said Nia as she and Clove were talking.
"You have very good luck, I am sure that Azazel has dealt with Selene accordingly" said Nia with a smile.
"I don't even care about that Nia, Azazel is so scary, I don't know how you are not scared of him Nia" said Clove as she shivered just thinking about how she was almost caught, she felt like her soul could have left her body at that time.
"Well It's because I've seen Azazel back when he was normal, he was not that bad, besides, don't follow in my footsteps, I prefer to be dead than to live this horribly, but Selene won't grant me that wish" said Nia with a sigh.
"No, do not say that Nia, nothing should ever make you prefer to be dead than living" said Clove as Nia looked at her.
"Life is very valuable, when lost it can never be regained again" said Clove.
"Which is why, no matter how hard things get, or how horrible you feel, you should always, and I mean always be thankful that you have life" said Clove with a smile.
"I know that things are hard, sometimes you wonder why you have to suffer, why you are all alone in this world, why bad things always happen to you" said Clove.
"But it is best to always put away those bad thoughts and be happy that you are alive, and in good health" said Clove with a smile as Nia smiled at her.
"You know, my lady would say something just like that" said Nia with a smile, she did not know why, but she kept on seeing many similarities between Sage and Clove, they were both outgoing, they saw the world the same way and they were both so friendly.
"Oh is that so?" asked Clove with a smile as Nia nodded.
"Well then I like your lady" said Clove with a smile as Nia laughed, she was sure that if Sage was to meet Clove they would be very good friends.
"Tell me about your lady, if you don't mind" said Clove with a smile.
"No, I don't mind at all" replied Nia with a smile.
"She was very friendly, very caring, she was kind, and she had this wonderful smile" said Nia with a smile as Clove smiled.
"If I am being honest, when I was hired to take care of her, I was really scared, the sensible thing to think would be that Azazel's wife would be just as wicked, or even more wicked than he is, but that was far from the truth" said Nia with a smile.
"My lady was gentle, she did not look for trouble, she and Azazel were opposites, I could not even believe that she was his wife when I met her and I got to know her" said Nia with a smile.
"Well there should be some similarities between them, she was Azazel's wife after all" said Clove.
"I thought so too, but she was just so different from her, she was kind of like you, she was sweet, and well she was really regretful" said Nia.
"Why was she regretful?" asked Clove.
"Well because she wanted her daughter to forgive her, she didn't want them to hate each other" said Nia.
"But she didn't ger her wish sadly" said Nia with a sigh.
"That sounds really painful, I think that the worst feeling in the world for a mother is when your own child hates you and wants nothing to do with you" said Clove.
"It really is, I am aware that she must have made some mistakes for things to go that far, but she was trying her best to correct those mistakes, and she really did put in a lot of effort" said Nia.
"Maybe what she did to her daughter was unforgiveable, but no matter what, there can still be reconciliation" said Clove.
"That was what she was hoping for" said Nia with a smile.
"I feel sorry that she did not get what she was hoping for" said Clove.
"I know, I feel the same" said Nia.
"Nia, you said that Selene killed her, how did she do that?" asked Clove in curiosity.
"Well we don't know exactly how she did it, but there was barrier intrusion in the previous camp, and everywhere was in chaos, my lady ran out to find someone, I can't remember, but then we just found her dead, nothing led to Selene, but I know that she did it, she was the only one who could do such a thing" said Nia.
"And to make matters worse she blamed Annie for her death" said Nia.
"What??!?" asked Clove in disbelief.
"No, Annie would never do that" said Clove as she had forgotten that she was not supposed to know Annie.
"I know she wouldn't… but you know Annie?" asked Nia in confusion as Clove realized her mistake and she winced internally.
"Well no, I do not know her personally, but I doubt that a girl like her would ever be capable of such a thing, Selene obviously lied" said Clove.
"I agree with you, but she backed up her claim by saying that she found Annie's scent at the scene, and I do not know how she did it, but Annie's scent was really there" said Nia.
"Selene is really dangerous…" said Clove.
"That she is truly" said Nia with a sigh.
