"Well I don't know where he is exactly, but I do know that Azazel does not want him here, he does not like his son" said Nia.
"In fact, I think that he hates him" said Nia as Clove looked at her in surprise.
"No, how do you think so?" asked Clove in surprise.
"Well he does not like his son, I don't know exactly why, but I have heard that Azazel hates his son" said Nia.
"Well that's unfair, why would he do that, his son is still his son" said Clove.
"Sage, things aren't always as they seem, for one, the story that I heard was that Selene drugged Azazel to get herself pregnant, and when she did, she pushed the child to Azazel, I honestly doubt that boy is Azazel's child, after all Selene can do anything, she is capable of anything, fraud, murder, she is just pure wicked" said Nia.
"Wow…" said Clove as she did not know what to say, she had thought that Selene was bad, but what she was hearing now was even worse.
"Yes" said Nia.
"But anyway Sage, just be careful, and don't be nice to anyone, you never know if they want to harm you" said Nia.
"I don't think that I should though, I mean if I wasn't nice to you, we would never become friends" said Clove with a smile.
"Not everyone is bad, if I thought that you weren't nice, we wouldn't get along so well" said Clove with a smile as Nia smiled at her.
"You are right…" said Nia as she smiled and Clove smiled at her.
"You know, you remind me of someone, if she was here, she would say the same thing you did" said Nia as she smiled,
"Well I agree with her, the world is not all that bad, sure there are some bad people, but not all people are bad" replied Clove with a smile.
"Well I have to go now, goodnight Sage" said Nia with a smile as they stopped walking.
"Alright, goodnight Nia, and have sweet dreams, thank you for everything" said Sage with a smile as Nia smiled and she turned around and walked away as Clove kept on walking and she sighed, today had been something, she had almost got a heart attack twice with both Selene and Azazel present.
…
The next day.
Clove sat down on her bed as she made sure that there was no one close nearby, and then she took a letter that she had wrote and she held it in her hand and moved it away from the bed.
"Ignis" said Clove out loud as she focused on the letter and as soon as she uttered the word the letter caught fire and started to burn in her hand as she watched it closely.
…
"Maddie, get out of the shower, you are going to use up all of my shampoo" said Annie in an annoyed tone as she was arranging things in her closet.
"Hey, hey Annie, you know how delicate my hair is, I need to wash it appropriately" came Maddie's voice from inside the bathroom as Annie shook her head.
"I have no problem with that Maddie, as long as you don't use my shampoo" replied Annie.
"Oh but you know your mom got you a nice shampoo, besides we are friends, sharing Is caring" said Maddie as Annie scoffed.
"If you aren't out of there in two minutes I am going to start hiding my shampoo" said Annie, she did not mind that Maddie used her shampoo, she would gladly share it with her, so as long as Maddie didn't use up all of it, which she failed to do.
"Fine, fine" replied Maddie as Annie shook her head and put all her folded clothes into the closet as she closed it and in that same moment Maddie came out of the bathroom in a white bathroom and her hair wrapped in a towel.
"What the heck is that smell Annie, are you burning something?" asked Maddie as she scrunched her nose in confusion, she was smelling smoke in the room.
"What do you mean burning something? I am not burning anything" said Annie as she looked at Maddie in confusion and that was when she smelt the smoke as well.
"Well something is definitely burning, I can smell the smoke" said Maddie as she looked around in confusion when suddenly ashes appeared on the floor.
"Wait, a minute, ashes? From where?" asked Annie as she did not know what was happened as suddenly the ashes turned into a letter.
"It's a letter" said Maddie as she walked to pick up the letter.
"It's from Clove" said Maddie with a smile.
"Gosh, luckily, I thought it was something else" said Annie as she laughed and Maddie laughed as she read the letter.
"Well she says she's fine, and according to Aunt Stella's instructions she found some other way to communicate with us, she says she sorry for the smoke smell, and that she's doing well, and she sent Aunt Stella a letter as well" said Maddie as she read the letter with a smile.
"And she's…." said Maddie on the smile on her face dropped.
"She what? What's wrong Maddie?" asked Annie as she noticed the change in Maddie's demeanour.
"She said that she's working for Selene now" said Maddie.
"What?" asked Annie in shock.
"Yes she said that she met Selene and now Selene wants her to work for her" said Maddie as she could not believe this.
"Maddie… Maddie, relax…" said Annie softly as she could see the look in Maddie's eye, she didn't want her to go overboard.
"Don't you dare tell me to relax, that wicked woman Selene can kill her" said Maddie as she rushed to the dressing table drawer and brought out a notepad.
"Give me a pen Annie" said Maddie as Annie didn't argue and she moved a pen from her bed to Maddie who took it quickly and started to write on the paper as fast as she could as she tore out the page.
"Maddie, what are you going to do?" asked Annie carefully.
"I am going to send her a letter telling her to stay as far away from Selene as possible" said Maddie.
"Hold on Maddie, you are moving too fast, you don't even know what spell she used to send that letter" said Annie as Maddie did not listen to her and she smelt the letter that Clove sent as she muttered something under her breath.
"I do, it was an ignis spell" said Maddie.
"Ignis? Never heard of it, don't try to cast a spell that you are not sure of Maddie" said Annie.
"Relax Annie, I won't burn down the palace" said Maddie as she focused on the letter in her hand.
"Ignis" said Maddie as in the same moment the letter caught on fire and it burnt in her hand.
"Maddie, your hand" said Annie in worry as the fire was burning.
"Don't worry Annie, it doesn't hurt" replied Maddie as the letter burned down into ashes and the ashes disappeared.
"I am not going to let Selene kill my mother this time" said Maddie in anger.
…
Clove smiled when she smelt smoke and ashes appeared as they turned into a letter as she picked it up and read it.
"Why doesn't Maddie want me to work for Selene?" asked Clove to herself as she wrote on the back of the letter and sent it back.
…
Maddie picked up the letter as she wrote another one and sent it back.
…
"Because Selene is a heartless wicked woman who Is a murderer, believe me I have heard many horrible things about her, stay away from her Clove, she's dangerous, don't work for her, It's too dangerous, I don't want anything bad happening to you" read the letter from Maddie as Clove did not have any time to reply when she heard voices outside her room and she quickly burnt the letter so there was no evidence to use against her.
"Maddie is worrying too much, I will be fine, besides, I need to get more information on Azazel's plans and I can only do that if I am close to Selene" said Clove to herself as she tied her hair in a ponytail and walked out of her room.
…
"Why isn't she replying?" asked Maddie as she paced up and down and the towel wrapped around her head fell down as Annie picked it up.
"Maybe she couldn't, there could have been someone close by, Maddie, relax" said Annie.
"No way, I am going to speak to Aunt Stella now, sure my mom wants to get information, but she shouldn't put herself in danger" said Maddie as she headed straight for the door.
"Wait a minute Maddie, you are not dressed yet" said Annie as Maddie stopped as she looked at herself.
"Right that…" said Maddie in realization as she snapped her fingers and her clothes appeared on her.
"Better" said Maddie as she turned around.
"And what about your wet hair?" asked Annie in worry.
"It will dry on its own anyway" said Maddie quickly as she opened the door and Annie sighed as she followed after her.
