"Maddie" called Annie as her voice sounded in Maddie's head as Maddie looked up.
"Yes Annie, what is it?" asked Maddie.
"Maddie, I need you to do me a favour, can you go to our room and get me my notebook, I can't remember where I left it" said Annie as Maddie sighed.
"No, I don't want to go, why can't you go yourself?" asked Maddie as she knew that Clove would be in there, and she did not want to take any chances, she was happy with the way things were, they were safe, Clove was safe, it was good like this.
"Oh come on Maddie, please, I can't go, Uncle Capi is teaching me how to make some special potions, and I can't just leave, I need my notebook to review some ingredients, please go, pleaseee" said Annie as she pleaded with Maddie.
"Why can't you send Curtis, or Matt? Or even the blondie?" asked Maddie.
"Curtis and Ollie are in a meeting with Aunt Stella and Professor Sapiens, and Matt is also with them, please just go and get it for me, you don't have to come over here, just find my notebook and send it to me" said Annie.
"Please Maddie" said Annie as she begged and Maddie sighed.
"Fine" said Maddie as she closed the book she was reading in the library.
"Thank you Maddie, you are the best, I am sorry for interrupting your reading" said Annie apologetically, she knew just how serious Maddie was with learning the old tongue, she read the book every day, and she truly was sorry for disturbing her.
"Yeah, yeah, I know I am, it's fine, I will send you your notebook soon" said Maddie as she stood up.
"Thank you Maddie" said Annie as she smiled and Maddie shook her head as she walked out of the library.

Maddie walked into she and Annie's room as she was relieved to see that no one was in their room, there was only so much that she could handle.
"Now where is that notebook of yours Annie" asked Maddie as she walked to Annie's bed and she looked around as she could not find it.
"What am I doing, I have magic" said Maddie to herself as she scoffed and she shook her head as she snapped her fingers and in the same moment a purple textbook came from inside the closet as it flew into her hands.
"Annie, I'm sending you your notebook right now, heads up, I don't know where it's going to land" said Maddie as Annie's notebook floated in the air.
"Got it" replied Annie as Maddie tapped the notebook with her finger and it disappeared as Annie looked around and her notebook appeared as it almost fell in the cauldron full of boiling water as she caught it and she sighed in relief.
"I have it Maddie, thank you so much" said Annie as she smiled.
"Yeah, you do owe me, I know I'm the best" said Maddie as she laughed and Annie shook her head.
"I can get my mom to make the meatballs you like for dinner tonight" said Annie.
"Oh Annie, Annie, Annie, Annie, you know my weakness, if you get Aunt Lisa to do that, we are even" said Maddie as she laughed and Annie shook her head.
"We are settled then" said Annie as she laughed.
"Yesss, so see you later" said Maddie as she laughed.
"Bye" said Annie as she laughed and she shook her head as Captious walked into the lab.
"Who were you talking to Annie?" asked Captious as he looked at her with a smile.
"Just Maddie Uncle Capi, she got my notebook for me and in return I will get my mom to make meatballs for dinner" said Annie as she laughed.
"Ahh I see" said Captious as he laughed.
"Yes Uncle, you can come have dinner with us if you want, you know that you are always invited" said Annie as she smiled.
"I know that dear and thank you, but I have a meeting at the orphanage tonight" said Captious as he smiled.
"Oh okay uncle, maybe another time" said Annie as she smiled.
"Yes, so now, back to the brewing, I want you to make an illusion potion" said Captious.
"A splash one or a drinking one?" asked Annie.
"Let's make it both, what do you think we would need to make such a potion?" asked Captious.
"Umm, maybe some heat of the desert, the sweat of a lizard or frog?" asked Annie.
"The first one, the last two ones are really hard to find, and I only have a little of them in stock, but let's get brewing" said Captious as he smiled.
"Yes uncle" said Annie as she laughed.

Maddie turned around to lay her bed when she remembered that she had left it undone in the morning when she woke up, and she was surprised to see that her bed was already neatly laid and everything.
She knew that Annie would not lay her bed for her, they didn't do that for each other, and there was no other person in this room other than Clove, Maddie was sure that she was the one who did this.
"Oh hi Maddie, I didn't know that you would be here, I just have to get something" said Clove as she laughed and she walked into the room as she rushed to her bed and she searched for something as Maddie just looked at her.
"Were you the one who laid my bed?" asked Maddie.
"Oh that, yes I did" said Clove as she replied.
"Why did you do that?" asked Maddie as she did not understand.
"Well because I figured that if you left it like that you were probably too tired or you forgot to lay your bed, so I did it for you" said Clove as she smiled and she turned to look at Maddie as Maddie once again did not know what to think as there was silence between them for a long while.
"Tell me why you do this?" asked Maddie.
"Do what? I don't understand" said Clove in confusion, she never understood her, she was hard to understand.
"Why do you do things like this? Pretending to care about me, when you don't?" asked Maddie as Clove was surprised.
"Maddie, I don't know why you think so, but I do care about you, I am sorry if it seems like I am intruding in your space, I didn't mean to…" said Clove as she did not know what else to say.
"You act like you actually care, but you surely don't" said Maddie.
"But I do care Maddie, believe me, we are family, so I care about you, I am sorry if I made you feel upset, I should leave now" said Clove as she walked to the door, she could tell that Maddie was not in a good mood today, it was different from all the other days.
As Clove was about to open the door and leave when she halted as she heard the sound of sobs.
"Maddie, are you okay?" asked Clove in worry as she turned around and she walked to Maddie who had her back turned to her as she was crying.
"Leave me alone, just go away, I don't want to see you here" said Maddie as she did not know why she was crying, she scolded herself so much, she wasn't supposed to cry, crying wasn't her thing.
"Maddie, are you sure that you are okay?" asked Clove as she was worried, she could see that Maddie was passing through something right now, and she would not leave her alone.
"I said leave!" said Maddie as she wiped away her tears but they just kept on flowing down.
"I am not going anywhere Maddie, you are not alright, what's wrong? Tell me what's wrong, was it something I did or?" asked Clove in confusion as she touched Maddie's shoulder and Maddie moved away from her quickly as she threw her hand off her and she turned to face Clove.
"Just leave, you always leave don't you? You are what's wrong, why do you have to be here, why can't you just leave me alone" said Maddie as her eyes were red from tears and Clove was surprised to see her like this, she could sense some pain in her eyes, and she felt guilty, even though she doubted she did anything to make Maddie react like this.
"Maddie, you aren't making any sense, you need to calm down" said Clove as Maddie moved away from her.
"Clove, just leave me alone" said Maddie.
"I'm not going anywhere, you need help Maddie, you don't feel alright" said Clove as she walked to Maddie and she put the back of her hand on Maddie's forehead.
"Don't you get it?? Leave me alone, don't touch me!" said Maddie.
"Don't touch me, don't pretend to care, you were never there for me when I needed you the most, I hate you, I hate you Clove!" said Maddie as she cried and Clove just stood there frozen, the pain and suffering in Maddie's tone could not be mistaken, it was clear that she had done something to make her feel this way, but she just did not know what.
"I hate you Clove, I really do, you should have never come back" said Maddie as she cried and Clove felt her heart pricked when she heard Maddie say she hated her, what made things worse was that she did not even know what she did to make Maddie hate her so much.
Clove said nothing as she walked closer to Maddie and she hugged her as Maddie was surprised as she continued crying, she could not even push Clove away.
"I am sorry Maddie, I am so sorry for whatever I did to make you hate me, I am sorry that I was never there when you needed me the most" said Clove as she hugged Maddie.
"But that was because I didn't know that you existed, if I knew, I would hold you, and protect you, and never leave you, never ever, because you are my family, my cousin, and I love you" said Clove.
"I am sorry for making you hate me, I am sorry for everything I did Maddie, forgive me, I beg you to forgive me" said Clove as Maddie just cried even more, her emotions were a wreck right now, she could not stop crying, it was as if all the pain, the hate she had kept inside was coming out whether she liked it or not.
"Forgive me Maddie" said Clove as she hugged Maddie even tighter and Maddie continued to cry.
