Chereads / Annie Grey / Chapter 498 - Everything

Chapter 498 - Everything

"Umm Curtis, can you please tell us when Annie will come out of her trance?" asked Maddie as she did not know how they could keep on fighting all these rogues, she was already feeling tired, and there were still so many of them, the most sensible thing to do would be to retreat and find somewhere to hide to run away.

"I don't know Maddie" replied Curtis honestly as Maddie sighed.

"She has been like that for a long while now, she should have woken up already" said Matt as he looked at Annie who had been frozen like that for what he thought was twenty minutes now.

"We just have to wait for her to wake up" said Curtis as that was easier said than done.

"Have you heard the news? The vampires have split up" said a woman as she spoke to another woman.

"That serves them right" said the other woman.

"I hear that the split vampires up, the others call themselves rogues" said the woman.

"What a name for them, the vampires, they can chose to call themselves whatever names that they want, they are still vampires" said the woman.

"But have you heard about what is happening in the east?" asked the woman.

"There is magic over there" said the woman.

"Do not call those things magic, and they are not humans at all, they are witches, and we should stay far away from them" said the woman.

"You are right" said the other woman.

"Abraham" called a woman.

"I am reading mother" replied a young teenage boy named Abraham as he smiled.

"Alright then" said the woman as she continued on with what she was doing as Abraham was sitting on the couch as Annie sat beside him.

"So this is a memory" said Annie to herself as she figured that out.

"And you are my great grandfather" said Annie as she reached out to touch Abraham's face as her hand went right through and she sighed as she stood up.

"But what I don't get is why I am here, why I am being shown this, and if I will get back to the others" said Annie to herself as she sighed.

"If only you could hear me" said Annie as Abraham looked up and he muttered something under his breath as the fireplace was lit with fire and he smiled.

"Magic" said Annie.

"Someone told me that magic is made out of love, so love is the origin of magic?" asked Annie to herself as it did not make any sense at all, how could love create magic, and how could magic create love just like that? She could not believe this.

"Is this supposed to be the origin of magic?" asked Annie as it still made no sense, she could not wrap her mind around it at all, she just got more confused.

"Mother, I am going out" said Abraham as he closed the book and he stood up as he smiled.

"Alright dear" said the woman as Abraham smiled and he snapped his fingers as he was suddenly transported outside as Annie was taken along with him.

"I have been waiting for you Abraham, do you know how long I have been waiting?" asked a dark haired boy with blue eyes as Abraham smiled at him.

"I had to catch up on some reading, did do practice the spell?" asked Abraham as he smiled.

"I did, and I failed miserably" said the boy as he sighed and Abraham and him sat down on the grass.

"Oh I am sure it was not that bad" said Abraham as he laughed.

"I burnt my room" said the boy as Abraham laughed.

"Stop laughing, it's not funny, not everyone has the expertise in magic that you do" said the boy as he sounded annoyed.

"Magic isn't everything Azazel" said Abraham as he laughed and Annie gasped in shock… that was Azazel, but he looked so innocent, not like the Azazel that she knows.

"You can say that because you know all there is to know about magic" said Azazel.

"Not so Azazel not so, being powerful or skilled in magic doesn't get you anywhere, you need to learn to live in the moment" said Abraham as he smiled and Azazel scoffed.

"So they were friends" said Annie to herself as now that she was seeing it with her own two eyes, she could not believe it.

"Relax Azazel, you don't look good when you frown" said Abraham as he laughed and he ruffled Azazel's hair as Azazel laughed.

"Don't do that" said Azazel as he laughed and in the same moment the blue sky turned dark as the ground began to shake and everywhere went dark.

"What's happening?" asked Annie as she felt like the world around was spinning and she was in utter darkness, until she saw what looked like a torch of light as it fell on the ground and the ground changed from darkness into a forest.

"Azazel, you cannot do this, think of what you are doing" came the voice of a man as Annie gasped and she turned to look in the direction as she saw a man with grey hair on the ground as Azazel was standing above him and he looked older.

"No, I can Abraham, you see, you have always said that magic and power are nothing, but in reality, they are everything" said Azazel with an evil glint in his eye as Annie gasped.

"Azazel, this will do you no good, sooner or later you will realize what you have done" said Abraham.

"Or not, goodbye old friend" said Azazel as Annie shouted no as in the next moment she saw blood, nothing but blood as she looked down and it filled the ground, the ground was covered in blood.

Annie looked up as it felt like she was sifting through memories, memories of death, each and every single one, each and every one of her family members, her descendants dying, because of this one man, who would not stop doing what he was done.

Tears fell from Annie's eyes as she felt her heart shattering breaking, into a million pieces watching the horror unfolding right before her own eyes, it was barbaric, inhumane, cold hearted, no one was shown mercy, no not at all.

Annie felt like she was falling, falling into darkness as she landed on the ground and she looked around, she knew this place, it was Kadama, and there she saw herself, helpless, defenceless as Azazel towered above her ready to kill her.

No she was not going to stand for this, not at all, as Azazel was about to do to her as he had done to all those before her, Annie suddenly felt hate, so much hatred, so much anger.

"No!!" she cried out in anger as she closed her eyes.

Curtis could feel something, something strange, and he knew what it was.

"Everyone duck now" shouted Curtis quickly.

"What do you mean duc…" said Maddie as before she could finish her sentence Annie suddenly opened her eyes as there was a great blast of energy that carried the rogues, Curtis, Maddie, Matt and Ollie with it as they did not even have time to react as it was like time stopped as Maddie, Ollie, Matt and Curtis were frozen in time as before they knew it, they were placed gently on the ground as all the rogues were left suspended in the air.

"What just happened?" asked Maddie as she touched herself and she was so confused.

"Annie" called Matt as he looked at Annie who was staying completely still.

"Woah" said Ollie in surprise as he looked up in the air where the rogues were suspended.

"Annie are you okay?" asked Maddie as she walked to Annie to touch her.

"Maddie, don't touch her" said Curtis.

"Why not?" asked Maddie as she looked at Curtis and in the same moment all the rogues were dropped on the ground as Annie's eyes started to glow purple and power started to surround her.

"Annie, are you okay?" asked Matt as he was worried and Annie didn't say anything as she looked at the rogues and with a snap of her fingers, they all disappeared as Maddie looked around, wondering what was happening.

"Annie are you alright?" asked Ollie in worry as Annie turned to look at them and her eyes were bright purple.

As in that same moment one more rogue climbed up and Annie caught sight of it as she raised her hand and she lifted up the rogue in the air as they all looked at it as Annie squeezed her hand and the rogue started to lose it's breath.

"Annie, don't do it" said Curtis as he looked at Annie but she did not listen to him at all.

"Annie, don't, let it go" said Curtis as Annie looked at Curtis with a perplexed expression as she continued to squeeze her hand.

"Annie" said Curtis once more within the silence.

"Fine" came Annie's voice in an echo as she let go of the rogue and she threw the rogue away like it was trash.
