Chereads / Annie Grey / Chapter 491 - Tell me

Chapter 491 - Tell me

Matt walked to the huge wall in front of them as he used his hands to feel around it, it felt so rough and rocky.

"Umm sorry to break it to you Matt, but I don't think that you will be able to get over this one" said Ollie as he looked at Matt and Matt looked at him.

"Ollie is right, the wall is too rocky and rough for you to try to climb on, and it is too hight for you to try to jump" said Curtis as Matt looked at him, he had to agree with that, the wall was too high for him to jump over to the top.

"So what do we do then?" asked Matt.

"If worst comes to worst, we have to end up climbing manually" said Curtis.

"No way Curtis, the wall is too rocky for us to try to climb up manually, we might hurt ourselves, and also, it would take such a long time, I don't think that I have the energy to climb up something like this" said Maddie as she looked at Curtis and Curtis had to agree with her.

"If only we have something like a platform, or a ledge or something that I can stand on that would make it easier for me to jump on" said Matt as he was thinking out loud.

"if only we had magic, we would be over this thing in an instant" said Maddie as she groaned and Annie had been quiet this whole time when she heard what Matt said and she had an idea.

"Wait, Matt, you said that you need something to stand on right?" asked Annie as she looked at Matt and Matt nodded his head as Annie unhooked something from her backpack.

"Then why don't you use something like this?" asked Annie as she pointed at her sword.

"Wait Annie, how does using a sword work? Are we supposed to throw it or what?" asked Maddie as Annie looked at her.

"No of course not, why would we throw it, I mean maybe we can try to get the sword stuck in the wall and then that could make it easier for Matt to climb up" said Annie.

"Wait, that Is a good idea" said Maddie as Ollie agreed.

"That can work" said Matt as Annie handed him her sword as he removed the sheath and they all moved away as Matt used all hiss might to drive the sword into the wall as the sword went in quarter way.

"Do you think that will hold?" asked Maddie as Matt looked at her.

"The only way to know for sure is to try" said Matt as he removed his backpack and he jumped on the sword and surprisingly enough it held his weight.

"That is one strong sword" said Maddie as she unhooked her own sword from her backpack and she removed its sheath from it.

"Tell me about it" said Matt.

"But it's still a long way up, I still can't jump from here" said Matt as he looked up.

"Hey, use mine to make another sword platform whatever it's called" said Maddie as she carefully threw Matt her sword and he caught it as he nodded and he looked ahead to see where else he could hang Maddie's sword as he found a suitable distance and he jumped as he stuck Maddie's sword into the wall and he fell back on the ground as he jumped on Annie's sword and then on Maddie's sword as he made some progress on the wall.

"I think that I need two more sword to make it to the top" said Matt as Curtis nodded and he unhook Matt's sword and his own sword as well as he threw them both to Matt as they all moved very far away and Matt caught the swords as he threw them both up and they stuck into the wall as Matt jumped on them both to make sure that they were safe as he got to the top.

"Alright, who is coming up first?" asked Matt.

"Annie will" said Maddie as she smiled and Maddie picked up all the sheaths of the swords as she put them in her backpack.

"You want to test if it's safe don't you?" asked Annie as she looked at Maddie and she shook her head as Maddie just smiled at her and Matt came back down as Annie walked to him and he carried her as he jumped on the first sword, and then on the second, third, fourth until he reached the top and he put Annie down.

"Be careful it's a long way down" said Annie as she looked at Matt and he smiled at her.

"I will be fine" said Matt as he smiled and Annie smiled at him as he got back down.

"Alright my turn" said Maddie as she smiled and Matt laughed as he carried her and he jump up as he reached the top and he put Maddie down.

"Thank you Matty boy, you truly are appreciated" said Maddie as she smiled and Matt laughed as he jumped back down as Curtis threw him his bag.

"I'm going to throw my bag up okay" said Matt as he looked up.

"Okay" said Annie and Maddie as Matt threw his bag up to them and Maddie caught it.

"I caught it" said Maddie as Matt nodded and he held on to Curtis as he went up and they reached the top.

"Hey, quick logical questions, how are we supposed to get our swords back? I don't know about you, but I don't want to leave my sword stuck in that wall" said Maddie.

"Don't worry, I will find a way to get them" said Matt as he went back down.

"Okay speaking logically Matt, there's no way that you can get the swords back if you still want to use them to get up" said Ollie.

"Hey, why don't you tie this rope to the swords and when you are both up, you can pull the ropes to get the swords back" said Maddie as she threw Matt a long rope, she was not about to lose her new sword that she had just got, no way.

"Good idea Maddie" said Matt as he held the rope in his hand.

"You climb, and I will hold the rope" said Ollie as he smiled.

"Good idea" said Matt as he smiled and he nodded as he tied the rope tightly on the hilt of the swords as he jumped back down to get Ollie.

"You don't have to hold onto me, I will be fine" said Ollie as he smiled and Matt nodded and he held Ollie's arm as he jumped up and they reached the top at the same time.

"Alright now, pull the swords out" said Maddie as Matt did as he was told and he pulled out the swords as they were unstuck from the wall and he pulled them up.

"Finally" said Maddie as she ran to ger her own sword and she covered it in its sheath.

"I finally have you back" said Maddie as all of them scoffed as they shook their heads.

"Come on, let's go" said Curtis as they walked ahead after picking up their swords.

"Oh great, just great, another wall, what a great thing is happening" said Maddie as she scoffed.

"Well this one looks easier enough to get over" said Matt as Maddie sighed and at least Matt was right.

"Alright, now there better be no more walls, or else" said Maddie as suddenly the sun started to shine brightly as they walked.

"Just great, now the sun is being annoying as well" said Maddie.

"You know, this is just so…" said Maddie as her words were caught in her throat when the ground they were on was no longer rocky ground but green grassy ground.

"Wait, a minute…" said Maddie as they all continued to walk as they followed after Curtis and Matt could heard the sound of a stream running.

"Did you just see that? The ground??" asked Maddie as Curtis turned to look at her and he shushed her.

"Don't make any sound" said Curtis as he kept on walking, until he saw a clear flowing stream as clear as crystal as he was sure that this was it, he stopped walking.

"Curtis, is that it? The eternal waters?" asked Annie as she looked at Curtis and she whispered.

"No, that's it" said Curtis as he pointed to a little flowing waterfall that was coming from the side of the wall.

"The Eternal waters?" asked Ollie as he could not believe it and Annie just kept quiet, it was so surreal to finally be here after so long, she could not believe it at all, and yet, she was right here, standing in front of it, seeing it with her own two eyes.

"We are finally here" said Curtis as they all looked at him and Annie sighed feeling so overwhelmed in this moment.
