Chapter 484 - Reasonable people

"Maddie let's be sensible here, let's not do this" said Ollie as he ran around the training ground and Maddie ran quickly after him.

"All sensibility was lost from the moment that you threw this stupid stick at me!!" said Maddie as she replied with nothing but anger and she continued to chase after him.

"No I beg to differ, I am sure that all sensibility was lost when you picked up that sword" said Ollie as he replied back.

"Ooooh, I think I should pick up that sword again, then maybe you would feel better?" asked Maddie as Ollie shook his head, he wondered who or what could save him right now, oh how much he regretted agreeing to go and help Katarina find her red cloth, he was here alone with Maddie who was crazy.

"Maddie don't do this" said Ollie.

"No you come and face me like a man you blondie!!" said Maddie as Ollie did not want to hurt her, not at all, she was not even an expert with using a sword, she just started learning how to use it, and he could easily hurt her if he was not careful.

"You are going to die for hitting me not once, but twice, first with a rock, and secondly with this stupid fake sword stick and also for making me run so much" said Maddie.

"For the record, the first one with the rock was an accident, and you made me do it the second time, and as for the running part, might I remind you that you are the one chasing me, you should stop running" said Ollie.

"No you stop running! I am not stopping anything" said Maddie as she chased after him and Ollie sighed, he could continue running like this for a little while more, but that would just be a waste of time, it was clear that Maddie wasn't going to stop this, so the only option he had was to face her.

Ollie made a decision as he sighed and in an instant he stopped running and he turned around which caught Maddie off guard, but she quickly composed herself as she went straight for Ollie with the stick in her hand and he blocked her attack with the stick in his hand as she grunted, the impact was so strong enough to push her back.

Maddie was surprised, she didn't think that this blondie was actually that strong, but then it would make sense, he was an expert when it came to fighting with swords.

"Maddie, can we talk this out like reasonable people?" asked Ollie as he sighed.

"No, because you are not reasonable" said Maddie as she lunged straight at him and she was about to hit him with the stick when he dodged and he moved to the right.

"If there's anyone not reasonable here it's you" said Ollie as he did not want to hurt Maddie at all.

"I mean, this is ridiculous, and highly unnecessary, why use weapons when we have our mouths?" asked Ollie as he dodged to the left again as Maddie tried to hit him and it both surprised her and annoyed her that this guy was fast.

"Well I am not going to stop until I get you, and I put you in your place, can you fight me!!" said Maddie as Ollie sighed.

"I am not going to fight you" said Ollie as Maddie went for his legs and he jumped over the stick and he landed on his feet.

"Ugh, can you stop moving, why do you move so fast?" asked Maddie as she chased after him and he blocked her attack with his own stick.

"Maddie this is not reasonable at all" said Ollie.

"Just shut up and fight me, because you are making this too easy" said Maddie.

"Oh is that so? Just a moment ago you were telling me to stop moving so fast" said Ollie.

"I will crack your head open" said Maddie as Ollie knew that now he had to make a move, before her wish actually got granted, so in one swift movement he blocked her stick with his, he got a hold of her stick with his free hand which caught Maddie off guard and he took the stick away from her as he oh so carefully kicked her down to the ground.

"Ouch" said Maddie as she groaned in pain and she touched her abdomen.

"Maddie are you okay? I am so sorry, I didn't mean to…" said Ollie as he threw away the sticks and he rushed to Maddie in worry, he did not want to get her hurt, but he regretted giving Maddie any concern at all as once he came next to her, she kicked his leg and used her foot to push him off his balance and Ollie fell down as Maddie quickly got on top of him.

"That hurt Blondie" said Maddie as she pinned Ollie down and she held his neck, she really wished that she had a sword to finish him off right now.

"Rule number one, never have pity for your enemy" said Maddie as Ollie sighed in regret of course, he should have known that Maddie wouldn't be hurt at all.

"Firstly you are not my enemy, and secondly what are we even doing at this point?" asked Ollie as he sighed.

"I am trying to kill you that's what, now I am weighing my options of being an outcast for life for your murder, or if it will be worth it to kill you at the expense of being an enemy to everyone" said Maddie.

"Maddie, let's stop this nonsense" said Ollie as Maddie just looked at him.

"Maddie, please I beg you, let's talk this out like responsible people, please…" said Ollie as he pleaded with Maddie as Maddie sighed and she reluctantly let go of him.

"Fine" said Maddie as she scoffed and she got off of him as Ollie sat up straight and Maddie sat down beside him, heaving from all the running and jumping that she had done.

There was silence between them for a while until Ollie decided to say something.

"Why don't you like me Maddie? And I want the truth this time, no beating around the bush, just the truth" said Ollie as he looked at Maddie.

"Not everyone has to like you blondie" said Maddie as she looked at him.

"This isn't about everyone liking me" said Ollie.

"I don't care if people like me or not, that doesn't matter to me, I only care what you think about me because I consider you my friend, just like Annie, Matt and Curtis are my friends" said Ollie.

"Look blondie, not everyone will like you in this world, believe me, they will hate you for one reason or another" said Maddie.

"That doesn't answer my question Maddie, I asked why you… you, why you don't like me" said Ollie as Maddie didn't say anything.

"That's because I just don't like you" said Maddie.

"No, there has to be a reason, because since the beginning you haven't liked me one bit" said Ollie.

"There has always been this underlying hate that you have for me, and I don't know what I have done to offend you, and if I offended you I apologize" said Ollie.

"It's not about that blondie" said Maddie.

"Not everyone is as lucky as you to be born as privileged as you are, not everyone is as chilled and laid back as you, not everyone has a reason to be happy, not everyone sees good okay" said Maddie.

"You know Maddie, you don't make sense at all" said Ollie as he sighed.

"I'm not supposed to make sense" said Maddie as she replied and Ollie scoffed,

"Can we at least make a deal not to be enemies with each other? I mean we are on the same team after all, and I don't like It when we disagree or argue, I strive for peace with everyone I was taught to always take everyone's idea's, feelings and beliefs into consideration, and that's what I try to do" said Ollie.

"So can we at least try to be in peace for once?" asked Ollie as he looked at Maddie as she sighed.

"Fine, fine, you said try, we can try" said Maddie.

"Good enough for me" said Ollie as he smiled and Maddie scoffed.

"Look at what we did here? Why were we behaving like children?" asked Ollie as he laughed.

"Oh well that's your fault, and you see what you did to my hair blondie? This is horrible" said Maddie as she combed her fingers through her hair.

"So are we friends now?" asked Ollie as he smiled and he looked at Maddie.

"Don't push your luck blondie, all I can do is try to live at peace with you, I never said anything about being friends, we are just two enemies who came together for the sake of Annie" said Maddie as she removed her hair from the ponytail that it was in.

"Good enough" said Ollie as he really couldn't push his luck.

"Let's get this place cleaned up blondie" said Maddie as she got up.

"Alright" said Ollie as he got up and he smiled as Maddie scoffed at him, she hated his smile, it was too bright for her own liking.
