"Alright Matt, this is your chance" said Matt to himself as he took a deep breath and he walked to the door of the room that he was staying in as he held the door knob.
He had waited a few hours, hoping that by now Lilith would be fast asleep, so he could find a way out of here.
Matt slowly opened the door as he walked out of the room and he closed the door carefully behind him, while making sure not to make a single sound at all, he did not want Lilith waking up and finding him trying to escape.
It was about now that Matt was regretting not knowing where exactly Lilith's room was, he did not want to accidentally walk in there and wake her up.
Matt got rid of his many thoughts as he now only had one thing on his mind, which was to find an exit of some sort here somewhere.
Matt walked into the kitchen slowly, careful not to make a single sound, everywhere was completely dark in the kitchen as all the candle lights that were once in here were put out, and Matt could only see one source of light coming from the opposite direction of the kitchen, so Matt followed that way out as he was led into another hallway, with many rooms and doors.
Matt was sure that Lilith's room was in one of these other rooms, so he was very careful to walk past the room doors, Matt was hoping that if Lilith snored, she would do so now, so he could rest assured that he was safely doing this.
Matt walked to the end of the hall as there was another direction as he walked deeper and deeper into the hall as he was met with another choice to make, the hall he was in right now, branched into two other opposite halls.
Matt took a pause as he decided on which way to go, and he finally decided to go left as he quickened his pace while still trying to be careful as he came to the end of a hall as there was a door there.
Matt was relieved, thinking that he had finally found a way out as he walked to the door and he turned the doorknob as it was left unlocked and he was so happy as he opened the door and in the moment of happiness he did not think to consider his steps as he walked straight out the door as he gasped when he suddenly felt that there was no ground below him as he was dangling in the air.
Matt did not even know what happened, but all he knew was that he was in a sticky situation, and if not for the fact that he was still holding on to the door, he would have been long gone.
Matt looked up into the sky, he truly was outside, he could see the dark night sky and the limited stars, and the cold breeze that blew upon him, and then he looked down as he saw the empty dark abyss below him, it was extremely dark.
Matt wondered how this door was mounted, it was not even giving way to his weight at all as it held him in place.
Matt knew that he could not let go, or else he would fall to his death, so he tried his best to not let his grip slip as he quickly pulled himself up.
Matt did not know how he got the power or energy to pull himself up and get back into the house, but he did, and once he did, he sighed in relief as he closed the door slowly and he decided to go back.
It was too dangerous for him to try to escape when he could not see anything at all.
…
"Come on guys, let's go" said Annie as she turned to look at Maddie who was still yawning.
"I'm coming Annie, It's way too early" said Maddie as she yawned again.
Annie could not sleep through the whole night, she was just worried for Matt, she did not know if he was being treated well, or if he was doing alright.
"Come on Maddie, please" said Annie as Maddie sighed.
"Alright, alright fine, let's go" said Maddie as she started to walk ahead and Annie followed after her.
…
"Good morning my love" said Lilith with a smile as she walked into Matt's room without knocking at all as he just looked at her and he sighed.
"Good Morning, you should have knocked Lilith" said Matt as he looked at Lilith.
"Oh I am sorry my love, I forgot" said Lilith as she smiled apologetically and Matt just sighed.
"How was your night my love?" asked Lilith as Matt scoffed internally, he did not sleep at all, after his failed attempt at escaping.
"Bad" said Matt.
"Aww how come my love?" asked Lilith as Matt just looked at her.
"Hmm let's see, I was kidnapped, and I am held here against my will" said Matt as he replied and Lilith just looked at him.
"Love, you will be fine, you will get used to it" said Lilith as she just smiled at him and Matt scoffed, she really did not see anything wrong in what she was doing right now did she?
"Come on, I will make breakfast" said Lilith as she smiled and Matt did not look at her at all as she walked out of his room.
Matt sighed as he walked to the kitchen and he heard the sound of pots clinging, he tried to use his hearing or strength, but neither of them worked, it would seem that his powers were still very weak, and he was only able to save himself yesterday due to the adrenaline he felt back then.
Matt walked into the other hall as Lilith did not stop him at all, in the daylight Matt could see how different this place was, it was just mostly an empty hall, Matt walked to the door which he had opened mindlessly last night as he saw the dark abyss, he could not believe that he had actually almost fell down there.
Matt wondered why there would be a door over here, leading into this place.
"My love, what are you looking at?" asked Lilith as she popped up behind Matt as he looked at her.
"Why Is there a door here if it leads to nowhere?" asked Matt.
"Oh well that's our trash hole" said Lilith as she smiled.
"Trash hole?" asked Matt in confusion as Lilith nodded her head and in the same moment a mighty caw could be heard.
"As in we throw all our trash in there" said Lilith as the caw came again.
"Elvis, I'm coming, relax" said Lilith as she shouted and the eagle cawed again.
"Elvis?" asked Matt.
"Yes Elvis, he's my eagle, the one who brough you here" said Lilith with a smile.
"Right" said Matt as the eagle cawed again.
"Wait, just where is he?" asked Matt.
"On top of us" said Lilith as she pointed up.
"Hmm" said Matt.
"Yes, anyway, let's go have breakfast" said Lilith as she smiled and turned around and Matt nodded as he had a crazy idea, and he moved slowly backwards until he walked closer to the edge of the door as he closed his eyes and he fell.
Lilith turned around as she shook her head and she tisked, did he really think that he would be able to escape like that?
Matt kept his eyes closed as he could feel himself falling, and yet he had not hit the ground yet as he had expected, and before he knew it, he felt a warm feeling engulf him as he felt something warm and fuzzy beneath him as he heard a caw and he opened his eyes as he realized that he was on top of Elvis as he was riding him.
Elvis changed his direction as he ascended and Matt looked around, his plan had worked, from up here, he could see everywhere, the many mountains that surrounded them, but to his dismay, he did not see the waterfall at all.
Elvis turned around in a circle as he moved to a cave as he descended and Matt could see Lilith standing outside, as if she was waiting for them, she did not even look as alarmed as Matt thought that she would be.
"If you want to ride Elvis you should have just said so" said Lilith as Matt walked to her.
"Elvis good boy, I will give you treats later, thank you for protecting my husband" said Lilith with a smile as Matt sighed.
"Come on Matt, let's go have breakfast" said Lilith while smiling, as she held Matt's hand and she dragged him back into the cave as he sighed, he really was stuck here.
