Chapter 381 - Mind that

"Dinner is served" said Maddie with a smile as she handed Annie her plate of food.

"Thank you Maddie" said Annie as she smiled at Maddie.

"You are welcome Annie" said Maddie as she smiled happily at Annie.

"What about me?" asked Ollie as he smiled and he looked at Maddie as she turned to look at him.

"Well if you have the strength to steal my spot again, then you can get your own food by yourself" said Maddie as she smiled in annoyance at Ollie, this guy never rested, it was so annoying, he was like an annoying little mosquito that you could not get rid of, always buzzing in your ear at all times.

"You are still on that Maddie?" asked Ollie as he could not believe this.

"This was my spot first you know right?" asked Ollie.

"I don't know anything, all I know Is that, that is my spot" said Maddie as she smiled and Ollie groaned, why was Maddie being so mean to him? He did nothing to her, nothing at all.

"But I mean, you can stand up and go get your own food" said Maddie as she smiled happily.

"So you can steal my spot again?? No way" said Ollie as he shook his head, he knew that she was pushing him to stand up, no, no way, he would not stand up from here, no way.

"Suite yourself blondie" said Maddie as she smiled and she just shrugged Ollie off as she walked over to where Matt was, and she handed him his own food as she sat down beside him, while still keeping eye contact with Ollie, she was going to make sure that she broke him, after all, he had insulted her, she was pretty, very pretty.

Ollie groaned as he knew what Maddie was trying to do, but he was not going to let her win, no not at all.

"That blondie won't last another second" said Maddie as she whispered to Matt and she watched Ollie, he would stand up soon, and one he did, that seat of his would be hers… again, like it was before, and he would make sure to keep him miles away from Annie.

"I am not sure about that" replied Matt as he pointed to Ollie and Ollie smiled happily as he remembered that he still had his powers and he levitated his food to himself.

"And that is how you do it" said Ollie as he smiled happily, Maddie thought she was smart, well he was way smarter than her.

"I should have poured your food away" said Maddie in annoyance.

"We cannot afford to waste any food Maddie" said Curtis as he sat on another log that he dragged here, food was very valuable, and he did not want their rations to be depleted just because of Maddie and Ollie's childish bickering.

"Fine, fine" said Maddie as she groaned, if she had laser eyes, she would have burnt holes through Ollie right now, he deserved it.

"I wonder why Maddie dislikes me so much, I mean what did I do to her?" asked Ollie as he looked at Annie who was looking at Maddie and Matt who were speaking to each other.

"Hmm??" asked Annie as she did not hear what he had said at all.

"I said, I wonder why Maddie dislikes me so much, I mean, I did nothing to her at all" said Ollie as he repeated his question.

"Ahh well, don't mind that too much, Maddie can be like that sometimes, but she's actually very nice once you get to know her" said Annie as she explained and she smiled.

"You really think so?" asked Ollie.

"I know so" said Annie as she smiled.

"Maddie is just one of those people who seems very tough and mean at first, but once you get to know her, she's actually so fun and loving, believe me" said Annie as she smiled.

"Well alright then, I will believe you Annie" said Ollie as he smiled and Annie smiled at him.

"Look at those two over there, I wonder what they are talking about" said Maddie as she looked at Matt.

"They are talking about you" said Matt as he replied lazily.

"You are eavesdropping on them?" asked Maddie.

"Not really, they are not whispering now are they?" asked Matt as he did not look amused at all.

"Right, right" said Maddie as she nodded her head, Matt was right, they were not whispering, but their voices were not loud either, It was just that Matt could hear them perfectly clear.

"Well then, what are they saying about me?" asked Maddie as she wanted to know, they were talking about her after all, which was very rude to say the least, that was gossiping, but she knew that their dear Annie would never do that, it was of course that annoying blondie Prince who did, and he was influencing their Annie badly.

"Well Ollie is wondering why you don't like him" said Matt.

"Why do birds fly?" replied Maddie as that was the answer to that question of his.

"I wonder why Annie puts up with him, she is way too nice, he is obviously overstepping his boundaries here" said Maddie as she scoffed.

"I wonder so as well" said Matt as he sounded irritated, he was irritated, irritated by how Ollie was getting close to Annie, way too close for his liking, and he did not know why Annie let him, it annoyed him so much.

"Are you jealous?" asked Maddie as she looked at Matt.

"No, I am not jealous, I am only annoyed" said Matt as he replied honestly, why would he be jealous?? There was nothing for him to be jealous about, no, not at all.

"Hmm, I don't believe you, maybe it's a mix of both" said Maddie.

"I'm not jealous okay" said Matt as he looked at Maddie and he finally stopped watching Annie and Ollie as they were smiling along happily with each other.

"Okay, gosh sheesh, that's exactly what a jealous person would say" said Maddie.

"That may be truth, but not in this case" replied Matt.

"Okay, okay, fine, I hear you" said Maddie as she knew that Matt was totally jealous, it was good for him to have a rival, he was taking way too long to tell Annie how he felt, and that really annoyed Maddie.

"We need to finish eating, before the mist sets in" said Curtis.

"Maddie, when you are done eating, please come and help me store some water from the brook" said Curtis.

"Alright Curtis" said Maddie as she looked at Curtis and she smiled as she nodded her head.

"Alright" said Curtis.

"Just what do you think you are doing?" asked Maddie as she walked back from the brook with Curtis following behind her.

"Umm setting my tent" said Ollie as he turned to look at Maddie as he placed his already made tent right next to Annie's.

"Oh no way, no way, there is no way you are setting your tent here, you will stay over there, not here, close to us" said Maddie as she pointed out.

"And why would I listen to you?" asked Ollie.

"You will for your own safety you will, or else your tent would be nothing but rubbish once I finish with it" said Maddie as she smiled.

Ollie shivered as something told him that Maddie was not joking at all.

"Fine" said Ollie as he muttered under his breath, and he levitated his tent to the other side.

"The mist is starting to set, so goodnight everyone" said Curtis as Ollie was setting his tent in another spot very angrily.

"Goodnight Curtis" said Annie as she smiled at Curtis.

"Goodnight Annie" said Curtis.

"Goodnight Maddie" said Annie as she smiled at Maddie.

"Goodnight Annie" said Maddie as she smiled happily.

"Goodnight Matt" said Annie as she looked at Matt.

"Hmm goodnight" replied Matt as he turned to walk to the fire, he would put it out.

"Goodnight Annie" said Ollie as he smiled and he looked at Annie.

"Hmm Goodnight" said Annie as she smiled at Ollie as she entered her tent.

"I will put out the fire" said Matt.

"Okay then, goodnight Matt" said Maddie as she smiled.

"Goodnight Maddie" said Matt as Maddie smiled and she happened to look at Ollie as she frowned at him as he just avoided her as he entered into his tent.

Maddie smiled happily as now she could rest at ease with Ollie gone now, there was no way she was going to make him feel at ease here, no, not at all.

"Curtis" said Maddie as she looked at Curtis.

"Goodnight Maddie" said Curtis as Maddie nodded at him and she walked to her own tent as now she was finally able to rest in peace.

Curtis walked to his own tent as Matt did the same and just like that their first night had begun.
