"And where have you been?" asked Christina as she smiled and she closed the book in her hand with a thud as Albert walked into their bedroom, she was sitting in the window nook in their bedroom, she had not seen him since he suddenly disappeared at breakfast, and it was almost dinner time and here he was, appearing like the wind, he did not even inform her that he would return late, she was upset with him.
"I had to go to the ruins" replied Albert as he removed the crown on his head as he placed it on the dressing table.
"Why?" asked Christina as she was suspicious.
"Well the Council thought that maybe Azazel would be camping in the ruins" said Albert as he sighed.
"And?" asked Christina as Albert walked to where she was sitting as he sat down beside her with a sigh, he was tired.
"And well he was not there, we turned the ruins upside down, but we found nothing" said Albert as he sighed.
"Was Stella there?" asked Christina.
"Well no, she was not there, she refused to go, she insisted that Azazel would not be there" said Albert.
"And she was right, was she not?" asked Christina.
"I guess she was, but I was not sure of why she was so certain, as if she already knew" said Albert.
"Well because she is very close with Curtis, Alice Grey was her best friend after all, the two were inseparable" said Christina.
"Which is why I advise that you listen to Stella in whatever concerns Azazel, she does know what she is doing" said Christina.
"Hmm" said Albert as he seemed to be thinking.
"Anyway" said Christina as she smiled, she knew that Albert would listen to her in the end, he always did.
"Why did you make Ollie attend a High Council meeting with you?" asked Christina as she smiled.
"Well because he needs to be familiar with what happens during those meetings, he will be future King after all" said Albert as he replied plainly.
"Hmm, right Albert, I do not believe you" said Christina as she frowned at him.
"You reason is not valid at all, so tell me truth" said Christina as she smiled sweetly as she looked like she was about to hit him.
"I have told you the truth" replied Albert.
"Albie, I know the face you make when you are lying, and it is that exact same face" said Christina.
"Chrissy, can you give me a break? This face is a face of seriousness" said Albert.
"And it is also the face of a Liar, who thinks he can get past me" said Christina as she smiled.
"So either you tell me the truth yourself, or… I get it out of you myself" said Christina as she smiled and a small dagger appeared in her hand as she pressed it beside Albert's neck.
"Chrissy are you a child?" asked Albert as he scoffed, he did not even seem scared at all as he moved his neck and he turned to look at Christina.
"Of course I am not a child Albie, you should know that, you are older than me" said Christina as she gave him one of her sweet smiles.
"Then if that is so, stop behaving like one and put the dagger away" said Albert.
"Sorry Albie, I can't do that" said Christina as she smiled.
"You wouldn't dare" said Albert as he narrowed his eyes at her.
"Try me Albie, you do know who is better in sword fighting between the both of us" said Christina as she smiled.
"*Sigh*, I don't have your time today Chrissy" said Albert as he sighed and he was about to move as Christina held him down and she gave him a quick peck on his cheek.
"There, now stop being so difficult" said Christina as she smiled and the dagger disappeared.
"I asked him to go to the meeting with me because I do not trust those children, they are bad influences on him, especially the daughter of Azazel" said Albert.
"Oh there you go again with your judgement Albie" said Christina as she groaned.
"Who made you creator to judge the creation?" asked Christina.
"I am the king" said Albert.
"Yes, you might be the King, but you are no God, so stop acting like you are" said Christina.
"I for one, think that you are being too hard on Ollie, and on Maddie as well, why does she have to pay for the sins of her father, she did not choose to be born his daughter" said Christina.
"And who made you the defender of mankind?" asked Albert.
"No one did, but I took it upon myself to" said Christina.
"Don't you notice that Ollie is more happier?" asked Christina.
"He is a good boy, a good Prince and a good son, he does all his duties, he finishes all his assignments and yet you want more from him, why? Tell me why Albie?" asked Christina.
"Because he will never be good enough to be King if everything in his life is easy" said Albert.
"And who told you that it was easy?" asked Christina.
"He works hard, so hard to please you, and yet you cannot trust him, and let him go out on his own, see how the real world is, because he can never be under you forever Albie" said Christina as Albert went quiet.
"Well then he should work harder" said Albert.
"Oh there you go again Albert" said Christina as she was annoyed now, he was just so stubborn, he would never change.
"Chrissy, it is not easy to be a Royal in this world of ours, the Vampires have long life, their Realm has been established for ages, the Werewolves know what they do, and it is my responsibility to make sure that the future of our realm is secure" said Albert.
"Fine Albie, I know you have a point there, I never said that you should not prepare him" said Christina.
"Look, all I want is that take it easy on him, treat him more like your son, and not the future King" said Christina.
"You know, he had such a pure heart not to hate you for you being to unfairly hard on him for no reason at all when all he does is good" said Christina.
Albert went quiet, she was the only one who could reprimand him like this and not be scared at all, it was obvious that she had control over him, and her words were sinking in, but he was not going to stop, no not until he knew that his son was more than ready to be King.
"Look Albie, I have never once interfered with your ways of training Ollie, but I will now, because it is getting too much, let him live a little, you sure did when you were his age" said Christina as Albert looked at her and she gave him a look that read "Of course you did"
"I know you are listening to me" said Christina.
"Which is why, you will allow Ollie to spend the entire day with his friends tomorrow, no duties, no meetings, no assignments, he will have the entire day to relax" said Christina as there was no room for refusal.
"Fine" said Albert reluctantly as he sighed.
"That's my Albie" said Christina as she smiled.
"Who said that you could not be considerate when you want to?" asked Christina as she smiled happily, if you would have seen her a few seconds ago, she looked like she was ready to fight, and yet now, a few seconds later, she was smiling as if nothing had happened at all.
Albert scoffed as Christina gave him a kiss on the cheek, oh why if he didn't love this woman, she could sure be a thorn in his flesh, she could talk too much, and sometimes even her melodious voice could get annoying.
"Now my dear Albie, we have to go to dinner, we cannot keep our guests waiting can we?" asked Christina as she smiled and Albert scoffed.
"Oh and do please do me a favour Albie, stop looking at Maddie like she is your worst enemy" said Christina as she smiled.
"And if you cannot control yourself, just do not look in her direction, please do it, for meeee" said Christina as she smiled and Albert rolled his eyes, she knew just what to do to get what she wanted from him, he did not know who was more stupid, her for acting like that, or him for encouraging her to, it was probably him.
"Oh and one more thing Albie, you are of course the stupid one" said Christina as she laughed.
"I do not need a mind reading spell to know what you are thinking when it is so clearly expressed on your face" said Christina as she laughed and she stood up.
"I will see you in the dining room" said Christina as she smiled and she walked away as the door closed behind her.
"Albert, what have you gotten yourself into by agreeing that these people come over?" asked Albert to himself as he sighed.
