"No, this is not it either" said Curtis to himself as he sighed in frustration, it would seem that he was getting nowhere with his searching.
"And neither is this" said Curtis as he closed a book with frustration as a mighty THUD echoed in the huge empty Library.
Curtis was alone in the Castle's library, this library was one of the oldest in the Kingdom, it contained every ancient text that you would want to find and even more, there were foreign books here, as well as human books, even books from the other realms were here.
There were many mighty, tall, wooden bookshelves that could kill you if they fell on you, Curtis sat down at one of the tables as he had many piles of books in front of him as he searched through all of them one by one, hoping that he would find what he was looking for, but he was already halfway through the pile of books as he had not found what he was looking for, he was starting to lose hope, but he knew that he just could not.
Curtis knew that whatever happened to Annie was much more than the revive spell, which was why that was not his main concern right now, it was a known fact that the revive spell was irreversible, but he was not here to make miracles, he was here to find out a way to bring back Annie's powers, and that had nothing to do with the revive spell at all.
What Cutis was trying to find was some sort of clue, something that would point him to think even more, and make him able to get to the bottom of this, if only things were that easy, as if the right book would just fall into his hands.
But that was impossible, he had no magic, so he had to search for the book he was looking for the hard way, the old fashioned way, which involved him flipping through the pages of every single book.
"Just, where are you?" asked Curtis to himself as he sighed, now he knew how frustrated humans were when they had no magic, he was so used to magic, this was the first time in his entire existence that he was powerless and forced to live like a weak human.
No offence to them, they were used to it but he… he was not used to it at all, he felt so useless and helpless, which was why he was so determined to find the answer to this.
"Ugh" said Curtis as he groaned, he was having a splitting headache right now, now he knew how humans felt when they worked too hard, well that was what he got for being in the form of a human, because he was technically a human right now.
"This is frustrating" said Curtis as he stood up, he needed to take a break, he was getting too worked up, and he needed to be in the right frame of mind for him to find what he was looking for, Annie was counting on him, Stella was counting on him, everyone was counting on him, and in a way the fate of the witch realm was hanging on this as well.
"Don't worry Annie… I will find a way, I will" said Curtis as if he was reassuring himself.
…
"Dude, we were meant to be friends" said Ollie as he walked beside Matt and he smiled.
"You are a guy, and I am a guy" said Ollie.
"You are a Prince, I am a Prince" said Ollie as he smiled.
"You have only stated two points" said Matt as he really regretted that Maddie told Ollie that he was a Prince, the guy had not left him alone since them, even as he was showing them around the Castle, he stuck himself to Matt like gum.
"I am sure we will find so much more when we dig deeper" said Ollie as he smiled.
"What an annoying guy" said Maddie as she looked at Annie as they walked behind the boys as Ollie did all the talking.
"Well look at the bright side, at least he had left us alone" said Annie as she laughed lightly.
"Yes, at least he has" said Maddie as that was the only good thing, the fact that he was still here was the bad thing.
"Oliver, meet me in my office right this instant" came Albert's voice in Ollie's head as he was talking to Matt.
"I am on my way now Father" replied Ollie quickly as he knew just how much his Father hated to be kept waiting.
"Ahh well sadly, I have to go now, I have many things to do" said Ollie as he stopped to turn to look at the girls as he smiled, he wondered what his Father wanted to talk to him about, he sounded like he was in a foul mood… again, he could only hope that his mother would be there already, or else, he would be left on his own.
"Aww what a shame, goodbye blondie" said Maddie in sarcasm, she was brimming with happiness, it would be the original group again, she, Annie and Matt, there was no room for Ollie, no room at all.
"Goodbye Grouchy, I know you will miss me a lot" said Ollie as he smiled and he winked at her which made her scoff.
"Goodbye dear Annie, I will see you later" said Ollie as he smiled sweetly at Annie as she smiled back at him out of politeness.
"See you later dude" said Ollie as he turned to look at Matt and he took Matt's hand to do a force handshake as he walked away like the wind.
"Weird dude he is" said Matt as he looked at Annie and Matt, they all had the same disbelief look on their faces.
"I think he's just lonely" said Annie as she laughed, she found all his actions funny and clingy, like a cute stray puppy.
"More than lonely, he is a pain in the neck" said Maddie as she scoffed.
"No, more like a stray puppy" said Annie as she laughed.
"Good one Annie, good one a stray puppy, that suits him better, I should call him that" said Maddie as she laughed.
"No, no, I didn't say that to give you any ideas Maddie" said Annie as she shook her head.
"Alright Noted, I can use your stray puppy nickname" said Maddie as she smiled.
"What?? No I didn't say that" said Annie as she shook her head and Maddie laughed.
"Thank you Annie" said Maddie as she smiled and Annie shook her head as she sighed hopelessly, and Matt was just finding this funny, now Maddie was back to her usual, trouble loving self, who didn't take no for an answer.
"Now wait, this guy is really, really annoying, he just left us here and we don't know how to get back to our rooms??" said Maddie as she realized that they were in a foreign place of the Castle, and they sure were lost.
"Relax Maddie" said Matt as he smiled.
"Just use a location spell" said Matt as he smiled.
"Ugh Whatever" said Maddie as she scoffed.
…
"Enter" came Albert's cold from inside of his office.
"You called for me Father" said Ollie as he smiled and he opened the door as he walked into his Father's office and the door closed behind him.
He could not see his mother anywhere in sight, which meant that he was going to have to deal with his Father on his own.
"Where have you been?" asked Albert as he looked up at his son.
"Well Father, I showed our guests around the Castle" said Ollie as he smiled and he sat down across his father's desk.
"You skipped out on your morning training?" asked Albert as he raised an eyebrow at Ollie.
"No Father, I did not, I had my morning training with a shadow guard, since the guards were nowhere in sight" said Ollie as he smiled.
"Have you copied the sacred texts in your handwriting?" asked Albert.
"Yes I have Father" said Ollie as he smiled and he nodded his head.
"Tell me, how could you copy the text if you were with the guests all day?" asked Albert.
"I copied it last night before I went to bed Father" said Ollie as he smiled, he had seen this coming, so he had prepared earlier.
"Hmm" said Albert.
"And have you had your lectures with Professor Reagan?" asked Albert.
"I am ahead with my studies, so he gave him a three day project to work on, which I also happened to finish last night, I will see him early tomorrow" said Ollie.
"I see" said Albert.
"Yes" said Ollie as he smiled.
"What did you want to talk to me about Father?" asked Ollie as he smiled.
"Be careful with the girl named Maddie, she is Azazel's daughter after all" said Albert.
"Do not worry Father, I am always careful" said Ollie as he smiled.
"Hmm" said Albert seriously.
"Come with me, you and I are going to a High Council meeting" said Albert as he stood up.
"*Sigh* Yes Father" said Ollie as he stood up and he followed after his father as he had no choice at all to refuse.
