Chapter 333 - Enlightened

"I said the script is written in the old tongue, gosh you guys need to get your ears cleaned" said Ollie as he looked at Maddie and Matt.

"Do you guys really not know what that is??" asked Ollie in shock as he looked at Annie, Maddie and Matt who all looked very clueless, like he was speaking some other kind of language or something.

"You really don't know" said Ollie as he shook his head, the confusion on their faces was just so evident, and it was like he was saying nonsense to them.

"Gosh, Ollie has to do everything here" said Ollie to himself as he sighed and he shook his head as he looked at the three clueless friends that he had.

"Okay, so the thing is, in the beginning of the Witch Realm, we did not speak Latin, or English, or whatever, we had our own language, characterized by different shapes and symbols that represented a certain word or letter" said Ollie as he explained and Annie, Maddie and Matt listened to him attentively, because it was clear he knew more than they did.

"That language is referred to Vita, or simply the old tongue" said Ollie as he explained, now that he finally had to explain to people this, he thanked that he was actually forced to learn all these rules and history of their realm.

"In the year Fan of the Witch Realm, the old tongue was abolished" said Ollie.

"But some of the written text of that time are still in the old tongue, and it is proven that spells spoken in the old tongue are automatically much more powerful than the spells we have now, which is why most Witches seek to learn the old tongue in order to further strengthen their power" said Ollie.

"I learnt how to read in the old tongue and I can cast some basic spells in it" said Ollie.

"But the question is how you can read it?" asked Ollie as he looked at Annie.

"Because I doubt you could have learnt how to read it" said Ollie as he eyed Annie, she really was interesting, he doubted that she did not even know that the old tongue existed, and yet she could read it fluently, even more fluently than him! But he would not admit that.

"I never learnt how to…" said Annie as she was confused.

"I never even knew that a language like that existed, to me it looks like normal English??" said Annie as she looked at Maddie and Matt as they seemed to be thinking.

"Well impressive" said Ollie as he smiled.

"Sorry but I don't find this impressive, because if you all see the same thing, then is something wrong with my eyes??" asked Annie as she rubbed her eyes once more, she could not remember learning a language called the old tongue before, and well what scared her most was the fact that the language did not look foreign to her at all.

"I agree here, this is odd, no not just odd, this is weird" said Maddie as she could not understand and she looked at Matt as he had that same confused look that she had on his face.

"More than weird, this is creepy" said Annie as she was creeped out, every single day there was something more weird about her, she was getting fed up.

"Alright wait" said Ollie as he put the book on the table and he walked closer to Annie as she was sitting on the chair.

"What are you doing??" asked Maddie as she looked at Ollie.

"*Shush*" said Ollie as he shushed Maddie and he bent down beside Annie as she was very weirded out as Matt just watched as Ollie used his right hand to cover Annie's eyes as he closed his eyes and he whispered something and Annie closed her eyes as suddenly a gold light shined for a split second and Maddie and Matt would have not seen it if they were not watching Ollie closely.

"Hmm…" said Ollie as he opened his eyes and he removed his hand from Annie's eyes and he stood up as Annie opened her eyes.

"What is it?" asked Matt as he looked at Ollie as Ollie seemed to be thinking.

"Her eyes are enlightened" said Ollie as he looked at Matt, he thought that this might be the case, he was just surprised by how much her eyes were enlightened, even his own eyes were not as open as hers… this was weird.

"What do you mean by that?" asked Maddie as Ollie looked at her.

"Enlighted how?" asked Annie as she looked at Ollie, she was so confused.

"Well your eyes are just naturally more open than the eyes of others" said Ollie as he explained.

"Although that still does not explain why you see the old tongue just like English" said Ollie as he had so many thoughts running through his mind right now.

"Wait, wait what?? Slow down, this makes no sense" said Maddie as she shook her head, what Ollie said made no sense to her, she had never heard of this old tongue language, and eyes been enlightened and whatever.

"Okay, Maddie, what I mean is every witch can choose to learn the old tongue or not, and with the old tongue comes enlightenment, it the birth language of the entire Realm" said Ollie as he looked at Maddie.

"I learnt how to read the Old tongue, which is not an easy task at all I may add" said Ollie.

"Which is why I find it impressive that Annie can read the text with no experience at all, it truly is surprising" said Ollie as he looked at Annie and he smiled as she could not smile back because she was just so tired.

"That makes me and you old tongue buddies Annie" said Ollie as he smiled and he looked at Annie as she did not smile at all.

"Oh no way blondie" said Maddie as she shook her head, there was no way she and Matt were going to be left out just because of this guy that came from nowhere.

"Hmm, I think that I should cast a spell on you, to test how truly enlightened you are" said Ollie as he ignored Maddie as he seemed to be thinking.

"No spells… I don't want any spells casted on me" said Annie as she refused and she shook her head, it was just too risky.

"Oh well alright then, we can just try next time" said Ollie as he smiled.

"But for now, I need to go now, I have a meeting, and I cannot be late, so see you guys" said Ollie as he smiled and he walked way without giving Annie, Maddie and Matt a chance to react.

"Gosh, there he goes" said Maddie as she sighed and she shook her head.

"He leaves just as the way he came… unexpectedly" said Matt as he sighed and he shook his head.

"I don't trust him" said Maddie.

"Yes, he definitely knows too much to be trusted" said Matt as he shook his head.

"I… I cannot argue with you guys on that" said Annie as she shook her head as well… Ollie was… well he was mysterious; some things just made no sense at all.

"Come in" said Stella as she looked up from her desk to her office door.

"Hello Vice Chancellor" said Ollie as he smiled and he walked into Stella's office as he sat down across her.

"Hello Prince Oliver, I did not know that you were here" said Stella as she smiled, was it only her, or was Ollie over here more and more these days?? In the past, he rarely came to the Palace.

"Yes, well I just came… I have a message for you" said Ollie as he smiled.

"Oh is that so?? Well go-ahead Prince Oliver" said Stella as she smiled, she had known Ollie since he was a baby, and now he was almost a man, he had grown up very well.

"Well Vice Chancellor, I have a message from the King and Queen" said Ollie as he smiled.

"Well then, there was no need for you to come here my Prince, you could have just sent someone else" said Stella as she smiled.

"I know, but I preferred to come" said Ollie as he smiled, the truth was that he had used this as an excuse to sneak out of the Castle, it was just so boring there.

"I see" said Stella as she smiled.

"Yes, but back to more important matters" said Ollie as he smiled.

"Alright" said Stella as she smiled.

"The King and Queen have a special request" said Ollie as he smiled.

"Which is?" asked Stella as she felt something odd about this whole thing.

"They would like for her to come and meet them" said Ollie as he smiled happily.

"Oh… I see… well this is a… a surprise" said Stella as she was surprised, this was so unexpected and sudden.
