This was not how Annie, Maddie and Matt imagined their day, suddenly out of nowhere there was a supposed earthquake, the barrier over their camp shattered, and now they were running to who knows where, and the worst thing was that they did not even know what or who the were running from.
Curtis kept silent, maybe he did not want to make them scared, but Annie figured out that there was only one person that was that big of a threat to Curtis, her and everyone else, and that was Azazel.
That meant that he had started an attack, and they were not ready, so the only reasonable thing to do was to retreat.
On their way feeling from the camp, Curtis met Mira, and she told him that she would try to hold them (Who ever they were) off, and Curtis nodded at her.
It turned out that Curtis had contacted Lucinda earlier, and she and Lucas just happened to be with John and Lisa, so they all met out of the camp, while Jacob stayed behind to lead the vampire troops that they had.
Which only left, Annie, Maddie, Curtis, Matt, Curtis, Lucinda, Lucas, John and Lisa to escape to wherever Curtis wanted them to go to.
Annie realized that thing were way much more complicated and dangerous than she thought, for one Aunt Stella, and all the other valued High Council members were not present, which basically left everyone who was still in the camp in danger.
They had no one to lead them, or command them, and they were probably all panicked and devastated, But Mira was there, Annie was sure that she would try her best to protect everyone.
"Curtis where are we going??" asked Annie as she connected to Curtis, she decided that it was best not to waste her breath, considering they were trying to run fast, and she could not afford to be short of breath right now.
"You will know when we get there" replied Curtis
"Okay" replied Annie as she did not ask anymore questions.
To tell the truth Curtis did not know where they were going, the plains of Kadama was very isolated, and there was not civilization for miles, and they were very far from any towns or anything, Curtis just hoped that they could be safe... or at least for now.
Meanwhile back in the camp.
Panic, that was the word that could explain the atmosphere right now, every witch was trying to escape, but they just did not know where too?? they could not believe what was happening right now.
Mira was trying her best as captain to calm everyone down, so they could start attacking back, but it did not seem to be working, it seemed that most of the witches had decided on every witch for themselves.
Mira sighed, this was just stressful and unplanned, she did not know what to do to get everyone to calm down and band together, she only wished that Stella was here, they would all definitely listen to Stella, or Professor Captious, or Professor Sapiens, but it seemed like she was on her own in this one, and it also scared her, she was not ready for this.
"Mira what are we going to do??" asked Liz as she looked at Mira.
"Honestly Liz, I don't know, I really don't know" said Mira as she looked down, it was like everything was crumbling down even though they could not see it.
"No, what do you mean you don't know??" asked Liz
"You are our commander, you have to lead us, everyone is panicking" said Liz
"Don't you think I know that??" asked Mira as she looked at Liz.
"I tried, but they all are not listening, I don't know what to do to get them to listen to me" said Mira as she sighed.
"Commander, I have caught sight of the rogues, there seems to be about four of them in number" said a young vampire as he looked at Jacob.
"I see" said Jacob as he seemed to be thinking of something.
"And what about the other witches, do we know how many they are??" asked Jacob.
"Not exactly commander" said the vampire.
"But we know that their numbers are more than ours, much more commander" said the Vampire.
"And it would be impossible for us to handle them too as we try to handle the rogues" said the vampire.
Jacob looked around, the vampire was right, he had only fifteen of his men right now, and the witches obviously greatly outnumbered them, it would be a death sentence to try to take them all by themselves.
"And what about him?? is there any sign of him?" asked Jacob.
"No commander we have not seen him at all" said the vampire
"Hmm I see" said Jacob as his eyes went towards some in particular.
"Commander where are you going?" asked the vampire as Jacob started to walk in a certain direction.
"Follow me" said Jacob and the vampire followed after him.
"Mira look it's commander Jacob" said Liz as she pointed to Jacob who was walking towards them.
"What's the matter??" he asked as he reached them.
"Commander Jacob, they are all not listening to my command, they are all lost in their panicking" said Mira
"Hmm I see" said Jacob.
"Everyone Listen here" said Jacob, his voice was not loud, but it sure was commanding, it was as smooth, calming and dangerous enough to get everyone's attention.
"I know that you are all scared" he said
"But you need to realize that now is not the time to be panicking" he said
"Now is the time for us to fight, and fight with all our might, and everything we have" said Jacob
"If we panic it only means that we accept defeat and that we have no confidence in ourselves" said Jacob
"And that is not true, because I know that every single one of are capable of something beyond we know" he said, he had been a commander for a long time, and he knew that sometimes soldiers just needed a little boost, and gingering up., and that was what was going on over here right now.
"But in order for us to defeat the enemy that we all know by name" said Jacob seriously.
"We all need to band together, and fight as one team, regardless of if you are a witch or a vampire" he said.
"Are you with me?" asked Jacob.
"Yes" said some witches in the crowd, but they still sounded uncertain.
"I said, are you with me?" asked Jacob.
"Yesss" said the witches are they all agreed, they all sounded confident and ready to fight, Mira looked at Jacob, she was jealous of the way he quickly led and commanded, and the huge difference was that they all actually listened to him.
"Good!" said Jacob as that was the reaction he wanted.
"Now each of you group into teams, and follow one of my soldiers they will tell you what to do" said Jacob, and immediately in that instant all the witches dispersed to where they needed to be.
"I am sure that solves your problem commander" said Jacob as he turned to look at Mira.
"Yes, Thank you very much commander" said Mira, she was angry at herself for not being able to lead like he could.
"It's no big deal, we are both commanders in arms, and we need to stick together" said Jacob as he could tell that Mira was inexperienced, it was no problem, he was also once inexperienced but it was times like these that made them grow as leaders.
"Thank you" said Mira as she was truly grateful.
"That is enough of that now commander, we need to get to leading" said Jacob.
"Yes commander" said Mira as she saluted at him as he left, she needed to be strong and command like he did, and she was going to make sure that she did her best now.
"I am at your service Captain" said Liz as she turned to look at Mira as she saluted her.
"Thank you Liz" said Mira
"I will need as much help as I can get" she said as she looked very serious.
...
"Hello brother" said Willis as he looked at a vampire who looked way younger than him.
"I am not your brother you filthy rogue" replied the vampire as it seemed that the mere sight of the rogue disgusted him utterly.
"Hmm then so be it" said Willis as he smiled, and without warning he lunged towards the young vampire and he gave him a might punch which he landed, the impact of the punch was so fatal that it would have blown the vampire miles away if not that he was holding him down tightly.
"You will pay for that" replied the vampire as he coughed, and he punched Willis directly in the face, which made Willis move back in utter pain, that was a direct blow.
And so began the fight that would be remembered for ages.
Meanwhile in wherever they were.
Curtis and the rest were still running, Curtis decided that they should take a break since he was sure that they were very far from any danger right now, or so he thought, that was until he heard... him.
"Running away now are we??" asked Azazel as he chuckled menacingly.
Curtis could not believe his ears, how did he find them so soon??, he seriously did not know what to do right now, and neither did anyone else, they were just all silent due to the shock they were having right now, Curtis turned around to face Azazel, they were very far away, but Azazel's cold aura could be felt by everyone.
"That's not fair is it?" asked Azazel as he looked at Curtis as if needing a reply.
"I thought we had an agreement, and that you were going to keep your word, like the good little book that you are" he said very leisurely and calmly like he was not going to rush this at all.
"But it seems that we do not" said Azazel as he looked disappointed, but it was obviously just a trick.
"Oh well, that means more fun for me" he said as he smiled the most chilling, deadly smile, that anyone had ever seen.
