Chereads / Annie Grey / Chapter 292 - Chocolate Pudding

Chapter 292 - Chocolate Pudding

"Uncle Capi was right, this book does look very ancient" said Annie as she blew on an old book, and dust followed, which made her cough.

"Gosh such amount of dust should be illegal" said Maddie as she coughed.

"I mean to be fair considering the weather we have right now, the dust is actually very appreciated" said Matt

Annie, Maddie and Matt were together in the library, and Annie had borrowed her great uncle's very ancient book because she thought it looked interesting, for the past two days now the weather in the Plan of Kadama have been rain, rain and more rain.

It had rained for the past two days nonstop, which came as a shock to everyone because over the last few months it had been nothing but Sunshine most of the time, except for some occasional cloudiness, but never rain.

The rain was just unpredictable, and that was why the plain of Kadama got it's name from, one moment the sun may be very bright and shiny, and the next minute the clouds could replace the sun in an instant.

The plain of Kadama was a very dangerous place in all honesty, not only did it have unpredictable weather patterns, but also storms could start out of the blue, tornados, twisters, and even tsunamis??!! Even though there was no sea nearby.

The witches were lucky that they have never had to encounter such during their time in the plain of Kadama, and to be honest it seemed like the plain was going easy on them, the only weather they really had was sun all day, and only the rain which started now.

They all only hoped that the rain would not lead to a disastrous weather, because that would leave them open for attacks.

"You know what Matt, yes you are right" said Maddie

"All I smell is rain and more rain, and to be honest I want the sun to shine again, because the rain is making me gloomy" said Maddie as she sighed.

"At least all you do is smell it, I can hear every single drop" said Matt as he shook his ears.

His ears were aching, every single time he stepped out of a barriered area into the camp, his ears would immediately start picking up every single raindrop, it was very annoying rather than calming, every pitter patter, to every drop on the ground he could hear it all.

"Oh yes, I forgot about your super hearing" said Maddie

"So do your ears ache?" asked Maddie

"Well they are still aching, but it's better now since I can't hear anything from the outside" said Matt.

"Haha aww, so sorry" said Annie as she laughed.

"Just one of the downsides of having super hearing" said Annie

"I know right?" said Matt

"I wonder how my dad does not go crazy since his hearing is way sharper than mine" said Matt.

"Haha he must be used to it" said Annie

"Yes, I mean he was born a vampire, while you on the other hand have delicate witch ears" said Maddie as she laughed and tugged her ears.

"Oh haha very funny Maddie" said Matt as he sarcastically laughed to Maddie's teasing.

"What??" asked Maddie

"You should be proud of having delicate witch ears like me and Annie" said Maddie

"Don't you see how pretty my ears look??" asked Maddie as she moved the hair on both sides of her face behind her ears.

"You see, they are very pretty" she said as if she was talking about something very important.

"Of course Maddie, you have pretty ears" said Matt as he knew that was what Maddie wanted to hear.

"Why Thank you Matthew" said Maddie as she laughed and Matt face-palmed this friend of his was a handful, in fact more than a handful, almost as annoying as a certain little annoying little sister that he happened to have.

"Oh look, she's in serious mode again" said Maddie as she pointed to Annie who was lost in reading…again

"Yep looks like it" said Matt as he looked at Annie

"She won't hear anything we say when she's like that" said Matt as he knew Annie by now, once she got herself buried in a book that she found interesting she would immerse herself in it completely and shut out any distractions.

"I bet you if we just left right now she would not even notice" said Maddie as she laughed.

"Haha true, she probably would not even remember to eat" said Matt as he laughed.

"Ooh so we have two options" said Maddie

"Either we leave right now, and we make her worry about us" said Maddie as she felt a little bit mischievous.

"Or we snap her out of her daze so she can explain to us what's so interesting" said Maddie

"I prefer the second one" said Matt

"Awww no fair Matt, why don't we have a little fun and trick her??" asked Maddie

"Well it's not nice for one" said Matt

"And also don't you always say that she's our little Annie??" asked Matt

"Yes of course she is" said Maddie

"So let's snap her out of her daze very nicely and gently" said Matt

"Aww Matt, fine you are right, but next time, we get to do what I want" said Maddie

"Haha of course" said Matt as he laughed

"Annie, Annie" called Maddie as she walked closer to Annie.

"Annie snap out of it" said Maddie as she shook Annie, and that seemed to do the trick.

"Huh?? What??" asked Annie as she was startled.

"Phew Annie you are back, we almost thought that we lost you" said Maddie as she laughed.

"Oh haha, I was not that dazed right??" asked Annie

"Oh you were" said Matt

"Big time" said Maddie

"Gosh guys, I'm so sorry" said Annie as she felt bad, she felt as if she was ignoring them.

"Don't be, we both know how much of a bookworm you can be" said Maddie as she laughed.

"Yes, you don't have to apologize for being yourself" said Matt as he smiled.

"Aww you guys are the best" said Annie as she smiled.

"So what's in this book?? can I see it??" asked Maddie

"Yes, you can but be careful, the book looks like it can tear any minute" said Annie as she gently gave Maddie the book.

"What is this??" asked Maddie as all she could see were a bunch of weird symbols that she had never seen before.

"Weird symbols" said Annie

"And why do you find it interesting??" asked Maddie as she could not understand.

"Well I am trying to decipher them, there are a bunch of coded messages behind the book, and I think that they all have meanings" said Annie

"That does sound interesting" said Matt

"Mhmmm, so I will give this back to you" said Maddie as she gave Annie back the book.

"While you do that, I am going to get something to eat" said Maddie

"Matt are you coming with me?" asked Maddie as she turned and looked at Matt.

"Sure why not" said Matt as he stood up.

"Annie do you want anything??" asked Matt as he looked at Annie.

"Oh umm yes, Chocolate pudding" said Annie as she smiled.

"Chocolate Pudding it is" said Matt as he smiled back.

"Thank you" said Annie

"You're welcome" said Matt.

"Wait wait, hold up" said Maddie

"Annie Amara Grey, are you trying to have dessert before dinner??" asked Maddie with a raised eyebrow.

"Awww Maddie, no fair, you are not my mom" said Annie

"Oh you are right about that, but I do know your mom, and I can report you to her" said Maddie

"Awww Maddie, please don't" said Annie as she knew her mom was very strict about eating sweet things before dinner.

"Hahaah you should have seen your face, it was so funny" said Maddie as she laughed.

"Anyway don't worry Annie, we will get you your pudding" said Maddie as she laughed.

"Maddie that was mean" said Matt

"I know" said Maddie as she laughed and Matt face-palmed, Maddie just wanted to be extra mean today, and it made her very dangerous.
