Chapter 283 - A little bit of fun

"Annie has been asking about Azazel" said Curtis

"Asking what about him exactly?" asked Stella as she was surprised.

"She said that she wanted to know everything about him" said Curtis

"And by everything you mean?" asked Stella

"I mean every single thing, including his power and strength now" said Curtis as Stella sighed, he and Stella were together in her office.

"Why does she want to know about him so suddenly??" asked Stella as she was worried

"She says that she felt something was odd, and she just wanted to know more about him" said Curtis as he heard Stella sigh.

"Stella, do not be worried, this was bound to happen sooner or later, she needs to know as much about him as she possibly can" said Curtis

"I know, but she is still so young, to have to deal with all these problems" said Stella as she felt for Annie, it was not fair at all that the poor girl had to fight a man, who was over a thousand years old, who wanted to kill her.

"It is best that she thinks of this now rather than later" said Curtis

"She has to face the reality that she has to fight" said Curtis

"I do not think that she full grasped the concept of what exactly is happening" he said

"Just because everything is calm on the outside, does not mean that everything is calm on the inside" said Curtis

"Our whole realm is basically at war, and just because Azazel is quiet, does not mean that he has forgotten his main purpose" said Curtis

"*Sigh*, I know, this is all just too stressful for a girl of her age" said Stella

"She has not even matured yet" said Stella

"Just because her power has not matured yet, does not mean that her mind is not mature" said Curtis

"She told me herself that she is tired of waiting, she told me that it feels dangerous, because we did not know was Azazel was planning, and he could easily catch us off guard" said Curtis

"Yes Curtis, it is normal for her to think all that" said Stella

"But still-" said Stella

"But nothing Stella, it is good that she realizes that she has to be strong, and be ready, because what we are planning, involves us taking the first move, and catching Azazel unaware, and she needs to be prepared for anything, absolutely anything happening" said Curtis

"I hate that you are right" said Stella

"Doesn't everyone?" asked Curtis as he laughed.

"Yes" said Stella as she laughed.

"So about the attack, what have you got so far?" asked Curtis

"Well this time Curtis, we are going with an immediate attack and capture" said Stella

"Because the sooner we can curb and immobilize the enemy, the better we can focus on Azazel" said Stella

"Do you have any plans of letting Annie tag along?" asked Curtis

"No it's too dangerous, it is best that she stays here where it is safe" said Stella seriously

"If she comes with, there is a chance that Azazel might easy capture her, and everything would basically be ended" said Stella

"She is very sensitive, and she is the center of this all, and anything that happens to her, automatically affects us all" said Stella

"You make a good point" said Curtis

"You are not the only one that can put your point across" said Stella as she smirked

"I see" said Curtis

"My Chancellor, I am sorry for just barging in" said Liz as she entered Stella's Office and bowed.

"Rise Liz" said Stella as she was certain that it must have been something for serious, in order for Liz to rush in like this.

"Thank you My Chancellor" said Liz as she rose.

"What is the matter?" asked Stella

"My Chancellor, this letter came in for you" said Liz as she stepped forward and dropped the letter in her hand on Stella's desk, and Stella picked it up.

"Who is it from?" asked Stella as she looked at Liz

"It's from…" said Liz as she was hesitant to say.

"It's from Armand" she said as she forced herself to say it.

"I see" said Stella as she did not look pleased at all, she did not want to hear from that disobedient boy.

"Yes My Chancellor" said Liz as she was sure that there was trouble looming near, why would Armand send a letter to Stella?? He was still on suspension till further notice, and Stella was clearly still upset with him.

So, what exactly was he playing at by sending this letter??? Liz knew better than to gossip and snoop, especially when it came to the Vice Chancellor's matters, so she wanted to get out of here as soon as possible.

"My Chancellor, may I take my leave now?" she asked.

"Yes Liz, you may go, Thank you" said Stella as she smiled at Liz, and Liz bowed and left.

"What do you think about this?" asked Stella as she turned to Curtis

"I think that you should open the letter and see what he says" said Curtis as he remained neutral in all this.

Stella did not even try to hide her displeasure towards Armand, and everyone knew it.

"Okay then" said Stella as she sighed, and she was reluctant to open the letter, but she did anyway.

"What does it say?" asked Curtis as he heard Stella scoff as she was reading it.

"He says that he has seen his wrong doings, and that he accepts his punishment with dignity, and respect, he says that he has repented, and this suspension of his made him rethink his actions, and he says that he is more than ready to take back his post, and to do better" said Stella as she sneered at what Armand wrote.

"You do not seem moved" said Curtis as the annoyed look on Stella's face was a bit funny.

"Ha, of course I am not" said Stella

"I know that he has not changed at all, this is all just ink and paper, he could have just thought it out, but he did not actually mean if from the heart" said Stella as she rested back in her chair.

"Besides, he is not the one to tell me if he has served his punishment well and is ready for reinstatement or not, I will be the one to decide that and not him" said Stella

"This stupid letter of his does not prove anything to me" said Stella as she threw the letter on her desk.

"He is probably still the same, arrogant, disobedient and proud Armand" said Stella as she was sure of it.

"You really have not forgiven him have you?" asked Curtis

"Of course I have not Curtis, we are talking about someone who ignored all my orders and warnings, and still went ahead to do something that I did not permit him to do, if he has no respect for me, I am sure that he has no respect for anyone else too" said Stella

"That sort of person, cannot be trust in any place of power, they would most definitely turn a deaf ear to all the warning and counsels of the elders" said Stella

"Do you ever think that he would change?" asked Curtis

"It depends on if he truly sees his mistakes, admits to them, and corrects them, and that is only when I will know for sure if he has changed" said Stella

"But if he hardens himself, and dwells in anger for my suspension, then he would only be more arrogant, and disobedient than before" said Stella

"You do not have any plans to reinstate him do you?" asked Curtis

"We'll see" said Stella as she did not give a definite answer.

But Curtis could tell from the way that she answered him, that she has really considered not reinstating Armand back to his position any time soon, or maybe even never.

"What if he hates you for what you are doing?" asked Curtis

"Then he can hate me all he wants" said Stella as she did not care at all.

"He should just know that he is not going anywhere, with that bad attitude" said Stella

"He needs to come down from that high horse of his, and humble himself" said Stella

"And his humility should be from the heart, and not just from his head or mouth" said Stella

"That is the truth" said Curtis

"So are you going to reply to him?" asked Curtis

"Well let's see, he did not cast a seal on his letter" said Stella as she picked up the letter and examined it.

"Which means that he will not be able to know if I read it or not" said Stella

She was sure that Armand purposely did that so It could seem like he was not expectant for her reply, and that he really did change, but it did not fool Stella one bit, she was going to use it to her advantage.

"I will not reply to him" said Stella as she placed the letter in her right drawer.

"I mean for all we know, the letter could have gotten lost on the way, or it wasn't delivered" said Stella as she winked.

"It depends on which he chooses to believe" said Stella

"Ahh I see what you mean" said Curtis as he laughed.

It was a horrible thing to get on Stella's bad side, she could be as devious as she was sweet.

"You really are going to frustrate him" said Curtis

"What?? Can't the Vice Chancellor have a little bit of fun sometimes???" asked Stella as she laughed.

"Yes you can, just don't take it overboard" said Curtis

"Trust me, I will not, I know my limit" said Stella as she smiled.

"I can handle it just fine" she said very surely.
