"Luke, my parent's anniversary is coming up soon, and I want to visit my mom, what do you think?" asked Lucinda as climbed into bed.
"Sure Honey, whatever you think is best" said Lucas as he leaned close and kissed her forehead.
"So we can go tomorrow with the children?" asked Lucinda
"Yes, we can" said Lucas as he tucked her in.
"Thank you" she said as she smiled
"Your welcome dear" he said as he smiled back.
"Aren't you going to sleep?" she asked
"No, not yet, I am not tired" said Lucas
"Then what are you going to do while I sleep?" asked Lucinda
"Well watch you sleep my dear" said Lucas as he smiled and winked
"Don't do that, it's weird" said Lucinda
"Really?? well I do it all the time" winked Lucas
"Lucas??" asked Lucinda and Lucas started laughing when he saw the look on Lucinda's face.
"Don't worry my dear, I have a book to read" said Lucas as he raised up a book to show Lucinda
"Now you can go sleep" he said
"Hmmm, okay if you say so" said Lucinda as she looked at him.
"Goodnight dear" he said as he touched her hair.
"Goodnight" she said as she closed her eyes and enjoyed the feeling of his caressing her hair.
It was times like these that made Lucinda remember never to regret marrying the love of her life, regardless of everything they had been through to be together.
Meanwhile in Stella's Office.
"So what brings you here John?" asked Stella as she smiled
"I hope I am not disturbing you?" asked John
"No no, not at all, I was just about to leave anyway" said Stella
"Ah I see" said John
"Haha Yes, so what brings you here? do you need something?" asked Stella
"Yes so me and Lis have been thinking, and we need to go back to Sunset Village for a short while" said John
"Oh? may I ask why?" asked Stella
"Well we have been gone for a long time, and since we are going to be here for a long time too, we have decided that we need to go back and settle some things" said John
"For example, we need to resign from out jobs at the school and we also have to inform the school that Annie won't be schooling there anymore" explained John
"Ahhh okay, I understand, my gosh you should have just told me all that sooner, here I was getting scared that you wanted to leave for good" said Stella as she laughed
"Haha No, why would we leave?" asked John as he laughed
"Don't mind me, it's just my old mind working here" said Stella as she laughed.
"Well then when do you want to go?" asked Stella
"Well tomorrow should be fine" said John
"Okay then, tell me when you are ready to go tomorrow, Mira will follow you... just in case" said Stella
"Okay, it's no problem, Thank you Stella" said John
"You are welcome dear" said Stella as she smiled.
"Well then, let me be on my way" said Stella
"Ahh yes, Goodnight Stella" said John as he stood up.
"Goodnight John" said Stella as she smiled and he left the room.
Stella packed up some papers from her desk and placed them in file, she stood up from her desk and walked towards the door.
"Avertas" said Stella before she left the room and all the lights switched off, and the door closed itself behind her.
"Good Morning Annie" said Maddie as she walked into the dining room, and it was only Annie that was there.
"Ahh Good Morning Maddie" said Annie as she smiled.
"You woke up very early today, by the time I woke up you were already gone" said Maddie as she pulled out a chair,
"Haha yes, I have an early lesson with Professor you know who" said Annie
"Ahhh, I see" said Maddie as she ate some toast.
"So tell me, why are you here all alone? your parents are usually always here with you" said Maddie
"Ahh well they went back to Sunset Village early this morning, but they should be back soon" said Annie
"Ahhh no fair, why didn't they tell me?? I would have loved to go with them" said Maddie
"Haha well, they only told me this morning, and also why do you want to go back to Sunset Village?" asked Annie
"No fair... Ahh well I am missing Anthony a bit, So I thought that I could sneak back into the Wolf Manor and see him quickly" said Maddie
"Awww, but isn't that too risky?? doesn't Azazel live there as well?" asked Annie
"Well not really, he's rarely around so sneaking in would be easy peasy" said Maddie as she winked at Annie.
"Haha well okay if you say so" said Annie
"But what about your mom? doesn't she also stay there?" asked Annie
"Ahhh well that woman only follows Azazel, so wherever he goes she goes too, so I doubt that she's there" said Maddie
"Then who actually stays in that big Manor of yours?" asked Annie
"Well it usually used to be me, Anthony and the rest of the staff" said Maddie
"That sounds lonely" said Annie
"Haha it was, but Anthony always tried to make it fun, especially when Azazel wasn't around" said Maddie as she smiled.
"That sounds nice" said Annie as she smiled back.
"It was" said Maddie as she smiled
"Wait now, where are the Sundews?? they usually make this place crowded and lively, especially that big mouth Evie" said Maddie
"Ahh well I saw Matt this morning when I was on my way to the dining room" said Annie
"Ahhh I see, you two have started having private meetings without me... it's fine I understand" said Maddie as she pretended to be hurt.
"Oh shut up, what nonsense are you saying?? I just happened to see him in the hallway" said Annie as she explained
Maddie laughed at the sight of Annie being annoyed and trying to explain herself when she wasn't guilty of anything, it was just so cute.
"Why are you laughing??" asked Annie
"Because you're just too cute, I believe you, I was just joking to relax" said Maddie as she was still laughing.
Annie just ignored Maddie and said "As I was saying before you interrupted me, Matt told me that Aunt Luc was going to take them somewhere today" said Annie
"And I think that they have left already" said Annie
"Ahh I see, so that means we are more or less the only people in the Palace" said Maddie
"That is true" said Annie
"Hey is it only me? or has Adrian not been around lately" said Maddie
"Ahh right true, I asked Uncle Captious about it yesterday and he said that I should ask Aunt Stella directly" said Annie
"Ahh, I see" said Maddie
"So I might just ask her, If I see her today" said Annie
"Haha Okay" said Maddie
"Well then wish my goodluck, because I have to go meet you know who now" said Annie
"Ahh you mean Professor Grouchy?? well I wish you all the luck in the world and the Witch realm conjoined" said Maddie
"Haha Thank you Maddie" said Annie
"Haha your welcome" said Maddie as she smiled
Meanwhile outside the Palace.
"I'm coming" said Sophie as she dried her hands with a napkin and walked over to the door.
"Ahh Lucinda, you are back, what a surprise and you brought your family with you" said Sophie as she smiled once she opened the door and saw that Lucinda was the one at the door.
"Sophie it's good to see you too" said Lucinda as she smiled and hugged Sophie.
"Aww my dear, I've missed you, this house is way too quiet these days" she said as she broke the hug.
"And you mister, Thank you for taking care of my Lucy" said Sophie as she looked at Lucas
"It's my pleasure" said Lucas as he smiled.
"Hello children" said Sophie as she smiled at them.
"Hello" they said in a chorus
"You can call me Aunty Sophie" said Sophie
"Haha okay then, Aunty Sophie" said Evie as she smiled.
"Well look at me keeping you all here, come in, come in" said Sophie as she moved from the door.
"Umm Sophie, is she here?" asked Lucinda as she entered the house.
"Yes she is my dear, she's in her favourite room" said Sophie
"I want to see her" said Lucinda
"Then go my dear" said Sophie
"Children you are just in luck, I just made some cookies, do you want some?" asked Sophie as she turned to look at the children.
"Yayyyyy, of course we want some" said Evie
"Yes yes" said Kaylee
"Haha then follow me" said Sophie
"Luke?" said Lucinda
"Don't worry Lucy, you go talk to your mother, I will stay here with the children" said Lucas
"Thank you Luke" said Lucinda as he kissed her on the cheek.
"No problem my sweet" said Lucas as he smiled and followed after the children.
Lucinda walked through the familiar halls to a room that she knew better than the back of her hand.
Lucinda knocked on the door and opened it when she heard a light, soft delicate voice say "Come in"
"Sophie, do you have my needles?" asked the woman who was sitting with her front turned to the window.
"Sophie? are you not there?" asked the woman.
"No it's not Sophie it's me mother" said Lucinda
"Lucinda??" asked the woman in disbelief as she heard the voice, she turned around and when she finally did she almost cried.
"Hello mother, I came to see you, I brought you flowers" said Lucinda as she walked closer and gave her yellow begonias.
"My girl, I missed you" she said as she pulled Lucinda into a hug.
"I missed you too" said Lucinda as she hugged her even tighter.
"Ahh my dear how have you been??" she asked as she inspected Lucinda from head to toe.
"I am fine Mother" said Lucinda as she smiled.
"Hmm you do look fine, you are looking more plump" she said as she pinched Lucinda's cheeks.
"Haha mother, I brought your grandchildren to see you" said Lucinda
"You did??" she asked in surprise and Lucinda nodded.
"Then what are we waiting for?? let's go I want to meet them now" she said
"Slow down mother they are not going anywhere" said Lucinda as she laughed.
"Either way let's go" she said as she hurriedly pulled Lucinda to go with her.
Lucinda smiled, she had always missed her mother, and it felt good to see her again after all these years.
