Last night Annie told her parents what happened between her and Maddie and they too found it weird but as them being parents her mom said "Annie dear Maybe you should give Maddie a chance maybe she actually wants to be friends with you"
"Yes your mother is right Annie, who knows maybe she's actually serious and will actually become a good friend to you" said Mr. Grey
Little did Annie know that the reason her parents agreed with Annie was because they thought she needed more friends, because Annie had always been a shy person and had only had about 3 friends in her lifetime, and they also thought that if her friends was a witch too, they could protect each other.
Annie heard her parents words and decided to give it a try.
Morning came and Annie got ready for school, she wore a dark blue high waisted denim jeans and she wore a long sleeved purple top and she tied her long black hair into a ponytail.
When Annie got to school she walked through doors she got a shock, Maddie was at her locker, and by the way she looked at it she must have been waiting there for her, Annie immediately turned around to start walking out but it was too late, because it seemed that Maddie had already spotted her.
"Good Morning Annie!" said Maddie with a cheerful smile, that creeped Annie a lot.
Maddie was wearing a below the knee pleated denim skirt with a long sleeved turquoise blouse that was tucked into her skirt, her long blonde hair was in a ponytail.
"Haha Good Morning Maddie" said Annie awkwardly
"So how were the Chocolate Chip cookies??" asked Maddie
"Oh umm they were fine" said Annie
"I am glad you enjoyed them" said Maddie
The atmosphere was so Awkward that Annie wanted to find a hole to crawl in, until a savior saved her.
"Hi Annie" said Matt as he walked to her locker.
"Oh Matt thank goodness you are here" said Annie to herself in relief
"Oh Hi Matt" said Annie
As Matt walked towards Annie, he saw Maddie behind her and decided to ignore her which Saddened Maddie.
"So how are you??" asked Matt as he ignored Maddie.
"Umm Hi Matt" said Maddie
"Hi Maddie, what are you doing here??" he asked without hiding his displeasure.
"Matt be nice, why are you so harsh??" whispered Annie in Matt's ear
"Umm Maddie why exactly are you here??" asked Annie as she was more gentle.
"Oh right that's what i wanted to tell you Annie, from now on we are locker buddies, i asked the Principal to give me a locker right next to yours, yayyyyy" said Maddie.
"Haha yayyyy" said Annie but inside she was like "What is happening, what happened to Maddie after i left her in the girl's bathroom?? i mean this is getting creepy"
"Maddie what exactly do you want??" asked Matt
"Well nothing really, i just want Annie to forgive me and be friends" said Maddie
"Yes but then Why? all of a sudden??" asked Matt
Maddie was quiet for a while which piqued Matt's interest.
"Okay guys, stop your arguing and let's get to class before the bell rings okay??" said Annie, she was also curious on why Maddie wanted to be friends so bad but this wasn't the time to be arguing, they were on school grounds and would draw the attention of other people, if they continued any further.
"Yes Annie you are right" said Matt
"Let's go to class" said Matt and with that he dragged Annie's hand and they walked to class leaving Maddie behind.
"Ugh this will be difficult won't it??" sighed Maddie to herself as she also went to class.
It was Break time and the Cafeteria was full, so Maddie went to eat in the Alfresco (outside Cafeteria)
Ever since the day her parents forced her to make friends with Annie, Maddie ditched her entourage because she figured that the people she hang out with were spoilt brats and bullies, and if she wanted to make a good second impression on Annie she had to ditch them to show she was actually changed, and so Maddie was eating outside alone on the table.
Annie had brought out the lunch her mom packed for her when she looked out the window and saw that Maddie was eating outside alone, and she felt bad for her so she decided to join her.
"Annie where are you going??" asked Matt
"Oh well i am going to sit with Maddie, she seems lonely" said Annie as she glanced at the place Maddie was sitting.
"Annie i don't trust Maddie what if she's just playing a trick on you or worse planning another devious plan of hers?" asked Matt with concern
"Matt i know where you are coming from but, i mean everyone deserves a second chance and Maddie does to, didn't you give me a second chance when i lied to you??" asked Annie
"Yes But..." Annie cut him off and said "If everyone never gave someone another chance how would the person change??" asked Annie and Matt was quiet.
"Matt i know you are concerned but don't worry, i can take care of myself i am going to sit with her and you can come join me if you want" said Annie, and with that she was gone.
Maddie was bust staring down at her pasta when she heard a very familiar voice "Can i sit here??" asked Annie and Maddie immediately looked up and said "Sure!"
"So why is the mighty Maddie Wolf sitting out here all alone??" asked Annie
"Well i realized that all they used me for was money and fame so i am not friends with them anymore" said Maddie which was a half-truth but Annie didn't know that.
"Ooh well it's good then, so you can finally have real friends that care about you" said Annie
"Yeah" said Maddie
It seemed like both parties ran out of what to say and just stayed quiet and ate their foods for some minutes.
"Umm Annie?" asked Maddie as she broke the silence
"Yes" said Annie
"Can you please ask Matt to forgive me, i really am sorry for what i did to you, and Matt scolded me about it, and i know that he's one of my real friends, (Author's Note* Ahem Miss Maddie only friend you mean🤣*) and i can't stand it when he's angry and ignoring me like that, so can you please help me??" asked Maddie sincerely
Annie was surprised this was the first time she had ever seen Maddie beg, it was heartbreaking, she also knew how Maddie felt because she felt the same way when Matt was angry at her for hiding her secret, it was the worst kind of pain anyone would feel, Annie felt like Maddie had actually changed and she could give her a second chance and so she said "Alright Maddie i will help you don't worry, Matt will be forced to forgive you" said Annie with a playful grin, and that relieved Maddie.
After they ate their lunch they went to class, and before they knew it the school day had ended, Maddie and Annie said bye to each other and they went their sperate ways.
Over the Past few days Maddie and Annie had the same routine, Maddie and Annie would meet at their lockers, and go to class together, Matt would join them but he would always ignore Maddie whenever he was there, it had become the norm to see Maddie and Annie going to class together.
Finally Saturday arrived, it was the big day, the day Matt would finally tell Annie his secret and Annie was excited for it.
"Curtis which dress do you like?" asked Annie as she held a sleeveless black corset neck piece purple dress, a light purple ruffle sun dress and a casual yellow dress.
"Well Annie the first dress is is too fancy" said Curtis
"I mean it's just dinner with Matt's family what's the big deal??, you almost never wear dresses" asked Curtis with a smirk on his face.
"Oh stop it Curtis that's exactly the reason why i need to wear a dress it's all about first impressions" said Annie
"Okay okay if you say so Annie" said Curtis
"Yes i do say so and now will you help me??" asked Annie
"Okay okay i will" said Curtis
"Well for one the first dress is out it's to formal, you are not going to a ball" explained Curtis
"Okay yes you are right" said Annie
"Then secondly you always wear purple so change it up" said Curtis
"Well of course i always wear purple it's my favourite colour, but of course you are right which only leaves the Yellow dress so okay Thank you Curtis!!" said Annie
"You are welcome!" said Curtis
Annie went to change and when she came back she was nicely dressed in a yellow casual dress, she had her hair tied in a messy bun.
"Annie you look great" said Curtis
"Thank you Curtis!!"
The time was 1pm and Matt came knocking on their door.
"Matt your here! isn't it too early for dinner??" asked Annie
"Yes i am! you look pretty today!! yes it is but i want to take you somewhere first" said Matt as he extended his hand to Annie as she took it.
They walked for a while before they stopped at the town's docks by the beautiful crystal blue lake, Annie sat down by in a boat and so did Matt.
"Annie i have to tell you something" said Matt
"Hmm okay what is it??" asked Annie as she turned her attention away from the lake to Matt.
Matt felt very nervous by the way she was looking at him, he looked deep into her eyes and said
"I'm a Vampire"
