It was Morning time and the Children were playing outside as always, Captious was bust studying and Jack was outside practicing fencing , then there was a knock on the double doors of the Orphanage.
Madam Lizzy answered the door, she thought it would be Hanz and his men again but the people at the door were a surprise and shock to her.
As Fate would have it the people at the door were representatives from Schola Geniorum the school of geniuses for the Gifted and they were going from Orphanage to Orphanage to find under privileged Children and give them a scholarship to their school.
Once Madam Lizzy heard that her heart was full of Joy she knew that she had gifted Children in this Orphanage and it was time for them to shine and live a better life, she welcomed the Representatives inside and made them so tea.
One by one they called in all the children interviewed them and asked them to show their skills, child after child, some got chosen some were not, then came in Captious
"Hello Little Boy what is your name??" asked the Guy
"Hello sir my name is Captious Vensute" he said
"Okay Hello Captious, how old are you??" he asked
"I am 6 years old 2 months and 15 days" he answered
"Oh wow" said the Guy
"Which do you prefer, Spells, Potions or fighting" asked the guy
"Sir I prefer Spells and Potions because there are already rules that you need to follow to make your final end product, and I am not really a fan of fighting" he answered
"Okay Good you are a very Bright Young man" said the Guy
"Thank you Sir" he answered
"Okay last question, what is the most powerful spell you have done so far??" asked the Guy
"It was 2 days ago Sir me and Lucy casted a Facti sunt vivi spell on our catapult" he said
There was a gasp between the Representatives how could two 6 year olds do a Facti Sunt Vivi spell it was too advanced it took too much energy and was only taught in Level 4 spell reading
"Okay Captious Thank you for answering our Question here is a Lollipop" said the Guy
"Okay Sir Thank you!!" said Captious
"Madam Lizzy that young boy is very intelligent and he is certainly on the list" said the Guy
Madam Lizzy was full of joy she had always knew that Captious was intelligent and she knew he would shine soon and his time was now
"And also the Girl Named Lucy, she seems intelligent too seeing that she pulled off the facti sunt vivi spell together with him to share the weakness" said the Guy
"Ooooh Yes very well Lucy is very intelligent too" said Madam Lizzy with a smile
The Next child was Jack
"Hello Little boy what is your name?" asked the Guy
"Little boy?? who are you calling little boy?? I am a man" said Jack
"Oh okay" said the Guy as he laughed at the boys pride
"Well then little man will you please tell me your name??" asked the guy
"Finally someone gets me, My name is Jack... Jack Vensute" he said
"Jack Vensute?? do you by chance have an older or younger brother??" asked the Guy
"Yes I have a younger brother" he answered
"Oh can you tell me his name??" the guy asked
"His name is Captious, but I call him Capi for short" he answered as he winked
"Ooooh okay I see, so tell me Jack how old are you??" asked the Guy
"Well Sir I am 8 years old but, I will be 9 in a months time but Capi like to say that I am 8 years 1 month and 10 days old because he's a nerd" joked Jack
"Ahh I see, it seems you love your Brother very much??" asked the Guy
"Yes I do, he's my only family left and we always stick together" Jack responded
"Ahh it seems that we need to consider the boy's feeling what if he's not accepted I doubt that Captious will go with us" said the Guy telepathically to his colleagues
"Well it might be true but before we come to conclusions let's continue with the questioning and see if he's qualified" said a female colleague
"Okay" the guy replied
"Okay Jack so which do you prefer, Spells, Potions or fighting" asked the guy
"Oh sir I prefer fighting, the best offense is a good Defense, it's better to make sure there are no weaknesses in your defense and you have to plan everything in order not to be surprised in unforeseen situations" replied Jack, he sounded like an Old General and his answer surprised the representatives
"Well Thank you Jack for Answering us here's a Battleship figurine" he Guy said
"Oooh cooool Thank you Sir" he said as he Ran happily
"Madam Lizzy can you tell us more about Jack??' asked the Guy
"Oh yes of Course, Jack well he's a very intelligent boy too, but he rather think and dream than study, he's very good at making plans" she said
"Well Thank you For your Time Madam Lizzy but we have to take our leave now, we will tell you the results later" said the Man as he walked away
"Byeee" said Madam Lizzy as she closed the Orphanage's Door
