On New Year's Eve we woke up to a huge blizzard just right outside the house. The roads were closed, and everything was closed too as we waited for the blizzard to pass — I wondered if there would be New Year's celebrations in that cruel weather. Martin and I just stayed indoors working remotely with the headquarters in Los Angeles, Phoebe and I were having our meeting via zoom.
"You should come next week sir, there's so much I can do but for these new investors in Mexico, they have made it very clear that they need an audience with you sir" she insisted even after a whole thirty minutes of me telling her that I can't make it.
"Alright Phoebe... I'll grant your wish. I'll be in LA this coming Monday, and make sure you tell them that's the only day I'm available"
"I sure will do sir, thank you"
"Alright"
Phoebe hesitated for a while, I could see her nervousness from the screen of my laptop. "What is it?" I asked.
