The front door was too obvious and risk because Marcus's spies were all over the place - and Simon was aware of that. Hence the only way to drag Diana out of the building was through the back entrance, and all this time Diana's mouth was tapped so she can't make noise and also her hands were tied too. It was close to 7pm and the darkness favored Simon who needed to drag Diana out of the building, but only one thing stopped him and that was the presence of guards at the back exit, something which he wasn't aware of.
If he would have done his research early on, maybe he would have noticed it that the guards were always there but this kidnap wasn't organized. Diana, tied and struggling to free herself didn't make it easier for Simon either because he had to deal with Diana, and then deal with the guards surrounding the back exit just to make sure they don't notice him as a kidnaper.
Suddenly, Simon's phone rang. "Shit!" Simon cursed, it was his big brother calling. He looked at the guards again, they were ten of them chuckling and seemed lost in their conversation but Simon knew there was no way he would ever get pass through them, not while they were fully armed with guns and ammo while he had just one gun with only two bullets. As he kept thinking, the phone rang again and again to the point he decided to pick it up.
"Hey big bro" said Simon.
Marcus was inside his car, in the passenger seat while Martin was driving and he noticed how Simon was stressed just by the way he was breathing. Hence he was concerned "You alright little brother?"
"Yeah, good. Good"
"You don't sound good, are you high?"
"No, no, no, I ain't high bruh! Just..." Simon paused and his eyes were glued at the guards. "I'm in a hurry"
"In a hurry?"
Marcus was alarmed, he knew how crazy his brother can be. At first he thought Simon was in Zimbabwe, but he asked Martin to track the call silently while he distracted him.
"I gotta call you back big bro, there's something I should do"
"Hold up Simon, what is going on? Please tell me you aren't in Congo and you are fleeing from the civil war"
Simon chuckled "I'm afraid so big bro" he said and looked at Diana.
Martin finished tracking Simon's call and showed Marcus the location - Marcus's eyes widened with amazement when he saw the location that Simon was matched Diana's new apartment. He quickly hang up the phone and urged Martin to drive faster towards the building. "Fuck! He knows about Diana. She's in danger" Marcus screamed. "Hurry up Martin, I will kill that son of a bitch, I'll fucking kill him this time"
All the time that Marcus was urging Martin to keep driving fast, he was actually doing that because he knew how crazy Simon can be at times when he decides to be out of his mind. These two have grown together under the same roof, and when both of their parents died it was just only two of them - until Marcus became rich and Simon decided to do his own stuffs.
Before everything happened Simon never really got along with Marcus, he was actually the jealous one in the family. He was jealous of Marcus for being more handsome than him, smarter and bursting with ideas every time. His curly dark hair which fell down effortlessly also made Simon envy every edge of it, somehow he felt as if he could never have edges like his big brother. Then came all the money, and the big streaming company Nile, which competed with Netflix, Hulu, HBO and several other platforms in the world while Simon dissapeared into the wild - in the thickets and bushes of Africa.
The main reason for Simon's disappearance was to actually stay as far away from his brother as possible - the cool breeze weather, and the heat of a sunny day during the Safari actually made him sure that there was nothing he would ever need other than peace of mind. For years he spent his whole life running away from his brother, his shadow, his success and power but then he caught himself in the spider web when he knew Marcus cared for a woman - and that was none other than a lawyer, Diana Davis Miller.
There's no better thing in the world than identifying your enemy's weakness. That special thing which you know will make them go crazy missing it - one may feel as if it resembles a gift from Santa during Christmas and Simon had all the information he needsd when he made an encounter Demi in Zimbabwe. At first he didn't know Demi, he was just an acting manager at Victoria Falls Hotel. The Victoria Falls Hotel is a grand Edwardian-era hotel that was built in the early 1900's ,during the time when Cecil Rhodes famously attempted to link Cape Town to Cairo by rail. A ten-minute stroll, via a private footpath, leads to one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World: the Victoria Falls. The hotel is surrounded by carefully tended tropical gardens, lily ponds and century-old shade trees. The guestrooms, including deluxe suites with views of the Zambezi River gorges and spray from the Falls, are traditional in style.
It was obvious that even though she came to "save the elephants" as she claimed to, Demi would have never settled in local lodges or three star hotels - she was a royal and didn't hesitate to show everyone the kind of luxury life she craves, hence the choice to stay in Victoria Falls Hotel and that's where she met Simon.
"I'm Simon. Acting manager here at Victoria Falls Hotel, we humbly welcome you to stay with us"
"Thank you for your kindness, I feel home already" replied Demi grinning from ear to ear, but she wasn't paying attention to Simon because her eyes were taken by the beauty of the hotel and how cool it looked. But honestly she was just thinking of the thousands of pictures she will take at the hotel and later post them on Instagram.
"Is it your first time in Zimbabwe?"
"Yes, but I've been to Africa mostly my whole life. I've been to Kenya, South Africa, Zanzibar... Oh my Goodness I don't think if I'll ever heal from the trauma Zanzibar left in me"
Simon chuckled softly "Trauma?" he asked, jokingly and then he laughed.
"Not bad trauma, I mean good trauma. Never have I ever seen an island that beautiful, rich with culture, tradition, and..." Demi paused then she stared at the waitresses packing her luggages.
"Don't worry, we have the best security system here and all your luggage will be safe"
Demi sighed softly "I wish my friends were here with me. But one is an arrogant gay man, and the other one is stuck" she said looking at Simon.
"Stuck? What do you mean stuck?"
"Stuck in a bad marriage with a narcissist husband at first, good thing he died - I mean he was shot in cold blood. I didn't do it... although I wish I did. And now, she's with a hot billionaire, Marcus Orlando. I'm telling you, he's all trouble"
That name "Marcus Orlando" nearly made Simon lose his grip even though he tried to be as normal as he can be. His brother, which he hadn't heard in a while was in love, what a perfect opportunity for him. Simon spent the next days working closely with Demi, he even quit his job as an acting manager at Victoria Falls Hotel just to work with Demi in a charity organization to save the elephants. All this time he was collecting facts about Diana, was she important to Marcus or she was like every other girl who Marcus sleeps with then murder them if they disrespect him.
Tabloids, paparazzi, and TMZ simplified Simon's research when fresh photos of Diana and Marcus pooped up every single day. Whether it was a casual date, or a normal day at court where Marcus would bring Diana flowers - they were all documented. "A billionaire who found love with a widow" it said New York times on their front page. This day Simon spent all his day inside his tent surfing the websites to learn more about his brother's love bird - the gorgeous Diana Davis Miller. It took him just a few hours to connect dots and learn that it was actually Marcus who shot Jacob, the whole scenario of where he was shot at, and how the whole thing was covered had Marcus's name all over it. That day Simon made a promise to torture his brother and have him pay for all the things he did to him in the past, all the fights, the tears and he also blamed Marcus for their parents accident. Right now he was with Diana, she was scared as she should be and he attempted to get her out of the country as a ransom.
