"Sir we have checked the security camera's footage but it has been wiped without any data, what should we do now??" officer Jack asked looking clueless, that bastard Simon erased the hospital's footage without leaving any traces of Xavier miller.
"Contact Noah and ask him if he can retrieve any data, investigate the doctor who handled Xavier's case, I will go to the nightclub and see if I can get any clues," I said and rushed to the nightclub.
"sir this is the accident spot, I have asked the nightclub manager about the incident but he said he didn't see anything..." my subordinate George said when I was inspecting the spot "Did you investigate the nightclub staff??" I asked and he shook his head "No sir the manager said there was no one working at that time since it was morning hours" he said handing me the pics of the incident.
I have observed the pics closely and saw a girl looking sadly at Xavier standing near the nightclub entrance, she looked a little familiar "Do you know who she is??" I asked my subordinate pointing to the girl in the picture but he shook his head in a no, "Get me the list of the nightclub employees" I asked and he handed the list to me.
I saw the same girl's picture on the list, her name is Josephina, she works as a stripper in the nightclub, "George..go and find this girl's whereabouts for me" I said and entered the club.
It was busy with customers as usual, I have noticed the manager talking to someone and I went to him "Officer Adrian..welcome, what would you like to drink sir.." he asked me nervously "cut the crap Nathan..you know why I am here..so tell me why did Xavier miller visit your club today morning??" I asked and he looked around getting more nervous.
"I don't know what you are saying officer, I was working in my office today morning but I didn't see any Xavier miller," he said trying to sound normal but I can clearly see that he is lying and I didn't want to alert whoever is behind all this so I simply nodded.
"Then what about your staff..didn't they see him??" I asked observing him carefully he gulped nervously and shook his head "Officer... our staff only works at night, I am the only one who stays here in the morning," he said convincingly.
"Alright then... I guess I am done here, thanks for cooperating with us Nathan" I said and went to the bar counter where a good-looking guy was mixing drinks and serving, I ordered a martini and looked around for Josephina but she didn't appear on the stage.
The bartender handed me my martini after a few seconds, "There was a girl who was on the stage last time I have visited here, what's her name..umm...Jenny..no..joyce.." I have acted like I forgot her name, "you mean Josephina??" he asked and I smiled and nodded.
"Yeah.. right ..she has got some sexy moves I must say, isn't she performing today??" I have asked but he looked around hesitating, I understood and handed him some money, he smiled and said "Man... I must say you have got good taste, but I advise you to not go after her, she has been chasing some nerdy fellow for months, recently she has got into an argument with our manager because of him and he fired her a few weeks before"
"nerdy fellow?? you mean this guy??" I have asked him showing Xavier miller's picture," yeah.. it's him, he visited our club a few times with two other guys, since then Josephina started chasing him," he said and I nodded.
"When did you see this guy in this club for the first time??" I have asked curiously, he shrugged and said"Mmm...maybe a couple of months before I guess," so Xavier miller had some connection with this club, does this mean both brother and sister were involved in drug business?? I wondered.
"Did you see him doing anything weird or carrying something weird??" I asked, he thought for a moment "umm..nothing I guess but whenever he visited he never drank nor danced, he always went directly to the private room upstairs and one more thing he always carried a laptop bag.I found that pretty odd for a guy who visits night club" he said laughing.
"Thanks man...here..this is my card, call me if you ever see the other two guys who used to visit with him," I said handing him my card and his eyes got bigger seeing my card and said"you..you are commander Adrian Smith?? I have read an article about you sir ...very impressive, I have always wanted to work in your team but my family situation didn't allow me to pursue my dream," he said looking start struck.
"umm.. it's not too late for you to work for me, see me tomorrow at my office,i will tell you what to do" I said observing the surroundings, he smiled and said "Thank you, sir... it's my pleasure to work for you, I will see you tommarow"
After a few minutes, I walked out of the nightclub and I stood at the entrance inhaling fresh air. I looked around the accident spot but I didn't see anything unusual. Meanwhile, Rachel called me "hey Adrian..did you find clues??" she asked and I sighed "We just found one small clue Rachel but apart from that I didn't find anything. Anyways why did you call?? " I have asked.
"Elena miller got a bail...and guess who got her the bail?? Simon Garcia's personal lawyer Andrew wright... that bitch really has a strong backup " she said angrily, I didn't feel surprised listening to that as I have already expected this.
"Ok..I will be there in ten minutes, "I said and hung up the call, Xavier miller visited this nightclub so many times, he got into an accident when he was here and got kidnapped, Elena miller was found with drugs in the same club, and immediately got bail, something is going on with this brother and sister, I am sure they both will lead me to Simon Garcia I thought and started driving towards the headquarters.
By the time I have reached the headquarters,i have seen Simon Garcia's personal lawyer Mr.Wright doing the paperwork and Rachel staring at him angrily, I didn't want her to make any scene so I took her to my office"Rachel I need you to control your anger and focus on the case, you have been working from the last 24 hours without any break, go home and have some rest" i said but she hugged me again and started crying.
"That bitch killed my brother and getting away Adrian, I just can't stand her walking out without paying the price for her crime," she said in a shaky voice, I can understand her pain and I am also not ok with Elena walking away so easily, so I patted Rachel's shoulder and said, "Don't worry Rachel, no matter what happens I won't let her get away so easily".
I went to the medical room to see Eena and saw her standing near a window with tears in her eyes, the room was filled with twilight and the golden light scattered over her long hair and slender neck, she looked breathtakingly beautiful.I walked to her but she didn't notice me so I tapped her shoulder, she got startled and shrank away from me.
"You can leave now, someone got you a bail, I must say you have got some strong backup," I said at which she looked confused, wasn't she expecting this?? why is she looking surprised?? i am sure she is just acting I thought and left the room feeling disgusted with her cheap tricks.
Later I saw her signing the papers without a second thought,huhh..she must have known him pretty well, then why was she putting up an act before?? these siblings are playing games with all of us, since Xavier has been kidnapped, Elena is the only one who can lead me to Simon Garcia I thought.
After some time when I was in my office, I have got a call from my subordinate George "George..did you find any information about Josephina??" I asked and heard heavy panting from the other side" officer ... I have reached Ms.Josephina's house, but..but we were being chased by some goons, I am taking her to hide somewhere I will contact you once I find a safe place for her, don't let Elena out of your reach she is very important in this case" he said and hung up the call.
"hello..hello..George are you there?? hello.." I tried to talk to him but the line went dead, I called again but his phone was switched off, what the hell!! they were being chased?? by who?? and how can I keep Elena within my reach since we have already released her??
There is only one solution to this, even though it's against law I have to detain Elena to catch Simon, I have to use the wrong method to catch the wrong people i thought and drove towards Elena miller's house.
