"You know," Kai said. "I'm sick of the underground, why isn't anyone building a dungeon upwards, you know? Like you go up as you fight, something similar?"
Kai was bored as soon as he saw some stairs leading downwards. Sure, he didn't get tired, but he was sick of all the darkness already. He wanted some light, some vibrant colours!
"Ah!" Serai exclaimed. "You mean the Tower of Pain?"
"Huh?" Kai responded like a dullard, he had already reverted back to his old self in mere minutes, leaving behind the façade of a graceful hero. "Sure, I know all about it. What do YOU know about the tower?"
"Well," Serai started explaining. "There are 20 levels to the tower, and according to legends, if you can clear it, the rewards will be beyond your wildest dreams. At least that's what people believe."
"And you don't?" Kai asked.
